I have been eating at Southernaire for over 20 years. The food is always hot and flavorful. The buffet is classic country cooking and oh so good. They regularly have southern fried chicken, catfish, pork chops, meatloaf and a selection of daily favorites. Vegetables include the best little red potatoes I have ever eaten, white beans, greens, mashed pototoes and gravy, cabbage, green beans, fried okra. One of the best steaks anywhere around and my favorite, the chicken parmesan! Great sandwiches and a salad bar with great big bowls to fill over and over. In over 20 years, I have never had a bad meal at Southernaire!

place aint the easiest to find but, well worth it. lousy cell coverage makes it impossible to check in, in real time. take the faxon mckinnon ferry to get there or just follow tn. route 147. did i tell you its well worth the ride, especially on a motorcycle.

For at least 30 years when I come into town to visit my family, I always look forward to eating at the Southernaire restaurant. Being a southern girl by birth, I really miss southern cooking and Southernaire truly has the best country cooking!
