My husband and I have recently moved here to TN and have absolutely fallen in love with it! The people are the friendliest weve ever met, the scenery is gorgeous, and the food so far is incredible. We decided to stop in here one day a month or so ago for some quick BBQ, ordered our food to-go (possibly why we didnt realize the customer service is terrible) and the food was pretty good. Not horrible, not amazing. Just decent and got the job done. Was in the area today and decided to give this place another try, this time eating-in with family. I got the Jack of Hearts burger, which Ill admit was pretty damn good! It had two different awesome sauces, cheese, cole slaw and brisket on it, yes, BRISKET! While I enjoyed the burger, I didnt enjoy the snarky attitude coming from the guy cashier. Also, nobody checked on us while we were at our table. (Not sure if its that kind of place, its pretty casual.) Forgot to order my husband food and headed back within about an hour for a to-go order, and couldnt believe the RIDICULOUS service I received! First of all, it seemed everyone was more interested in the football game that was playing to acknowledge anyone in there, sorry to disturb your business with my money! The guy at the register barely acknowledged me when I approached, and when I ordered I had some questions about their portions and I could almost feel the strain on his ocular muscles from him trying not to roll his eyes. Its as if they dont want peoples money! The icing on the cake was when my food was brought out and SAT ON THE COUNTER FOR 15 MINUTES!! While two other orders where brought out and their names were called!! WHY wasnt my name called? And when finally some girl got up from her TV watching session, she started walking around complaining about how some employee left something a mess in the back or whatever, and not acknowledging that theres an order sitting on the counter, and a customer just sitting there. She finally said, "Whos food is this?!" At that point I was the only person there while 3 people had already came, got their food and left. She asked my name and then said it was mine, and I asked "why didnt anybody tell me, its been sitting there for 10-15 minutes already!!" She replied with "WELL, its still warm soo....!!" and a very unapologetic "Sorry I guess he didnt call your name." A tip to this establishment: Do you hate your job? Well guess what, WORK SUCKS EVERYWHERE, so you may as well pretend to enjoy what you do and treat your customers who are GIVING YOU MONEY well! Whats even better is the $15 brisket I ordered was almost 50% fat! I will NEVER be coming back! There are so many other fantastic BBQ places you can go to in the area, do not come here!

It is worth noting that this location has moved further down main street, but is still in Spring Hill. The food is pretty inconsistent. Mind you, all 3 orders are from the new location after they moved. The first time I ordered a rack of ribs there they were dry rubbed, spicy, cooked just right. I was actually pretty impressed. I smoke BBQ at home, and would be proud to serve ribs like these to my guests. The potato salad I grabbed for a side was pretty good too. Not too mushy, pretty savory, a great "homemade" style potato salad. The second time I ordered a rack of ribs and potato salad again, along with a smoked turkey sandwich and green beans. This time the ribs were slathered in BBQ sauce and overcooked. The smoked turkey sandwich seemed pretty good. The potato salad was a bit mushier this time. The green beans were served with a ton of the juice from the pot they were cooked in, like they werent even strained. This larger order was messed up when they brought it out to us, and we had to wait for them to fix it. The third time I ordered a rack of ribs and potato salad. This time (and only this time) I was asked if I wanted ribs dry or wet. I wasnt even aware that this was an option in my previous two orders. I prefer a dry rub so I ordered that. The ribs were covered in soot and sugar. This was NOT the dry rub I had before. The rib meat was very tough and hard to pull from the bone. The potato salad I ordered was mushy and certainly not the savory "homemade" style potato salad that I enjoyed on my first visit. This restaurant started with a 5 star rating from me, but ended up with 2 stars after a couple more visits.

Went on Asked for Mayo the owner was very rude said he didnt have mayo (I only wanted it on the side)He said if he put it on a sandwich it would just run off anyway then I asked if I could get only a sandwich would no fries and the girl that was checking me out said yes and charged me for fries anyways Now 2 drinks (1 drink a water) in the order of 2 patty melts and 1 fry order $28 we asked the owner if he can take the fries off since we didnt want them and not charge us..He quickly replied nope.. We asked for a refund before we even got the food!!! My husband then told him that we would come back one more time am to check and see if they change the policy and he said well I am not going to....What a jerk!!! Good luck we wont be back..We own a business and never treat our customers badly

Absolutely the worst restaurant in Spring Hill for food, service, or properly air conditioned space. STAY AWAY!!! First, the meat is ALWAYS dry as a bone. Second, the air conditioner is not capable of getting the place below 80 degrees during the summer. Its a sauna. The management has explained that they are aware but have no plans to fix it. Third, the last time I went (which will be the absolute last time), the meat was not only dry, but also burnt because they had tried to reheat old ribs on the grill. The manager would not even come to our table so that we could get a refund since that is their policy that only he can give a refund. What a jerk. Please save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else.

The food here is great and the service is friendly. The only reason for three stars is the price. $7 for a sandwich, side and drink werent included. For 2 adults and one child to eat 2 sandwiches, 2 sides, a kids meal, and 3 drinks cost $40. Pretty expensive for the amount of food we received. We walked away full, happy we tried something new, but thinking we wouldnt go back. We could have gone down the road to any of the restaurants in the crossings and spent the same for bigger portions and a sit-down experience.

Jack of Hearts is one of the most consistently delicious BBQ joints anywhere, and Ill put their brisket up against any place in Texas - its always most, thick-cut, and has an outside crust to die for. While youre at it, try the turkey. AMAZING, and the white sauce is unlike any Ive ever had. Every sauce has just a bit of heat, but the meats here are so good they dont require sauce - THATS the hallmark of great BBQ. Sides are terrific, and the desserts... I could go on and on.
