They just redid the store to go from BiLo to Food city (summer 2016). I think it was a great turn around from a place that was honestly pretty dingy to a practically brand new place. Its still not the fanciest grocery store youll ever go to, but thats not really what most people in Soddy Daisy are looking for. The produce section still feels a bit limited. If you are looking for the usual - peppers, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, apples - you should be fine. But if you venture out to anything more exotic, like star fruit or cumquat its going to be a long shot. The beer selection is now great basically one entire row of reefers. A dedicated area for all the normal high volume lagers, and the and equally big area for craft, darker beers, imports, etc. They still dont have any wine, which is annoying.

I am thrilled to death with Food City in Soddy-Daisy the meat department is top-notch better than the rest they will go out of their way to fulfil your strangest request the cashier was very pleasant the shopping experience was also very pleasant the bang boy needs to do a little work on getting how to bag certain things correct other than that one complaint about the bag boy Michael I am extremely pleased with Food City in Soddy-Daisy. Not happy with this Food City. Thursday order a calzon from the deli ask the deli person straight out "dose it have pepperoni or just cheese?" Deli cashier its beef and cheese.". Me " Ill take 1/2 of one" Got about 2/3 thru and realized it was full of pepporion. So not only did I get sick, I ate some food I try to avoid due to my Christian faith. I guess she need to learn to read the ingredients.

Sadly, the steady progression from Winn Dixie to Bi-Lo to Food City appears to indicate a downward trend for this grocery location. Food City is adequate, but their selection always seems to be on the wrong side of cheap. Their meat selection is their high point, their meat quality is where nostalgia will always make me miss Bi-Lo. Its whats close, so I guess well all keep shopping there.

They have great selections and it very clean since the remodel. But dont bother asking anything from the meats department. I tried to ask a simple question about ground beef and all I got in return was a smart *ss remark that was very arrogant and condescending. Almost made me want to shop at Wally World. If it wasnt for that I would probably have given 4 maybe even 5 stars.

Love the midnight madness sales. Just need more employees running check out on those times. Staff was very nice and friendly even considering there were long lines. Good sales on an assortment of food.
