Decent food, deplorable owner. I would give negative stars if I could. After visiting with my two small children I had left the restaurant to find that my car has been towed. Apparently I had parked in the wrong area of the lot (as had 10 other customers according to the wrecker). The wrecker at the towing service said there was a sign, but I must have overlooked it in the poorly lit parking lot. Once again, not the only person who made that mistake. I was essentially left stranded with a 3 and 5 year old and had to call a family member from out of town with car seats to pick us up so that I could transport my kids to the towing company 1.5 miles down the road. The person at the wrecker service said that the owner had called for 10 cars to be towed that evening alone. At $135 dollars per car, I imagine thats a tidy little profit. Even the person at the towing company said that they thought it was "immoral." Long story short, I may have unintentionally made a mistake, but it could have been handled much MUCH differently. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. The food is average, but my kids really liked the scenery. I used to recommend it to all of my friends and family. Now I will neither step foot there again with my family nor will I recommend this restaurant to others.

Awful experience tonight. We came at about 9:05 on a Sunday night and we were reluctantly taken to our table. Granted they closed at 10, but we had guests that wanted to eat there. My husband and I hadnt been in over 9 years so we thought this was a great idea. WRONG. Our experience was more than embarrassing. Our server (who knows what her name was as she never introduced herself) had zero personality and couldnt have cared less about our experience. We ordered an appetizer (coconut shrimp) but two appetizers came to the table with the explanation of "well, I messed up so I brought both appetizers" and we were charged for both even though we only ordered one. We were totally rushed and looked down on from the minute we walked in, even though my husband and our guests all work at restaurants. We even offered to go somewhere else if it was too late. our sever was less than bland and probably shouldnt be working with people. I dont recommend this restaurant by any means. Our bill was WAY over what we should have spent for such awful and deliberately harsh service.

OK, so my latest visit requires a different review ENTIRELY. So unfortunate. We are totally disappointed! First, the hostess looked like she was overheated, sweating visibly, overtired and somewhat disgusted we were there to be seated. Our server provided great service. She did all she could to make the food right, so she was tipped 20%+ accordingly. Food was lackluster. Sauce was overdone, way too much salt, as was the rice overcooked. LITERALLY. The rice was filled with hard pieces, typically left up on the edge from the night before! It was inedible. The portion size has decreased from their already moderate portions. I would never recommend Blue Moon again based on this last visit. So sad, given its right next door and really, once was SO GOOD!!! But honestly, I can get mediocre food from Lubys or Dennys for a whole lot less... I may return for drinks and to hear live music sometime, but for food... NEVER AGAIN. Sad, so sad!

On vacation my boyfriend and I and another couple came in for what we thought would be great sea food and drinks--that is not what we received. From the moment we sat down the place gave off a chaotic atmosphere. No one seemed to know who was doing what. We were served by more than one waitress and who I think was the owner. One of us ordered the seafood platter with Mahi Mahi and shrimp and French fries. They took a few bites and it all tasted like soap and rotten--even the fries!! My salad didnt taste like it costed 12$. And the other person got a burger ordered medium and got it beyond well done. One of us politely told our main server what was wrong and was pretty much blown off and then she went in the back and laughed to her co workers about it. Brought out the owner and she made a joke about our complaint. HORRIBLE. Do not eat here. Not worth PUKING in the parking lot after paying for an awful experience and meal!!!!

Visiting from Virginia and when we googled places to eat this place came up as a local spot so we figured wed give it a try especially since its on the waterfront...needless to say we should have known from the start it wasnt going to be good because we stood waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes (people kept walking past us but no one noticed or even said hello) we were finally seated and our server was very friendly however once we ordered our food and beer we NEVER saw our waitress again. Another server brought us our food as our server continued to attend to her 2 or 3 other tables and just kept walking by us without asking if we needed anything else. We finished our meal and waited about 15 more minutes thinking she would eventually come to us, but she didnt so we ended up getting another waitress to get our ticket. Would not go back.

A group of 20+ seniors went there for dinner today. It was lovely sitting on the water and the food was fairly good BUT the management was told when this trip was set up that individual checks would be required. Before we ordered today our bus driver was asked if individual checks were needed to which he replied "yes". Despite this he was presented with one bill for our entire group. We waited OVER one hour for the staff to break down the checks and then pay our bills. Of course many of the bills were incorrect which further delayed things. When the manager was confronted about this he replied that they were told it would all be on one check. No apology offered. Needless to say, this group will NOT be returning to the Blue Moon Waterfront Grill. Looking at previous reviews, Id just say youve been forewarned.

In Nashville, you can trip and fall down and find yourself in an establishment with good food and good music, and would have to go out of your way to find that special place that could somehow offer neither. Going to Blue Moon does exactly that; you are well away from everywhere, your terrible food will arrive uncooked, and all the while you can be bombarded with the worst music of the 80s and 90s that you never wanted to hear again. The amenity Blue Moon offers is its location. Best I can tell, the food is prepared solely by microwave and served with a side of serious upcharge. Said to say, Shoneys beats the food here in both quality and price not because Shoneys is good, but because Blue Moon is just that bad.

Went early on a Saturday, about 5p. Took the teenage boy and the hubby. Wasnt very packed. Was seated quickly and received prompt service from a very friendly waitress. Loved the waterfront atmosphere. I ordered the tequila shrimp skewers. Came with a smidge of black bean salsa and rice and another side, which I chose to be broccoli. Everything came out timely, correct, and cooked perfectly. That goes for my hubbys mahi and sons chicken tenders. I wouldnt rate the food as a five, bit it was tasty, fresh, and cooked and plated properly. Also ordered a slab of chocolate cake we split three ways, and it was both tasty and plenty. We enjoyed the casual, open atmosphere and will definitely be back.
