Yeah, its dark and smarmy and occationally too loud or smoky but, its a what a bar is supposed to be. Its not a commercial fern bar or sports hang out or elitist hipster club (despite what someone else has written here). Its a friendly, fun place with perfect atmosphere and often some really great live music. The building is old and its dark so it often seems dirtier than it really is but, that is also part of its charm. You want sterile, go hang out at the hospital. The food is pure grease but, its still good. The staff is awsome, most of the regulars are very friendly and there is a huge beer selection. The one draw back is that its cash only, no debit or credit cards. Personally, Id take this place over all other bars in town with the possible exceptions of Liquid Smoke and Wall Street. All three are really about having good entertainment and great bartenders.

The initial greeting was amazing! The place is clean and very inviting. The service viewed was prompt and very friendly, however my experience was not the same. The server I had greeted with a warm smile, and was extremely welcoming. After recieving my drink ( thank you so much for having YL, after serving overseas for so long Ive been dieing for a taste of home!) She took my order and basically forgot about me. She seemed to entertain frequent visitors via conversation taking almost 25 minutes to deliver my food. When I asked for ranch it took 15 minutes for her to get back to me with out ranch. When I asked again she seemed bothered by it. 15 minutes later, I received ranch to place on a now cold burger. Ate it regardless, and it still rocked! Just wish I was as important as her friends!

I just didnt see the attraction to this dive bar stuck in a time warp. We visited it on a Friday night when I thought all bars were busy. It was dark, empty and the two poor ladies working the joint kept apologizing to us for their slow service. Not the young ladies fault at all. They had nothing to work with. Very much a dive bar and one I wont be visiting anytime soon.

not dressed like a librarian? not wearing tight black jeans? stay out of my bar! this place is for the elite hipsters and scenester crowd! i want a hip place to hang out, not a place where those who spend 2 seconds of their time getting ready in the morning. dumpster chic is a plus. le tigre, bikini kill, and other fem-rock, armpit girl lovers are welcome!

Great little venue to play and be up close with your fans in Murfreesboro! One of the only local venues to actually take care of their live acts; food and beer, which is more than can be said for most of the cheap ass establishments around.

Day time bartender is a awesome dude. Nice place for bar food and fairly cheap drinks. Smoking is allowed so that may turn you off but if it doesnt bother you this is a great quick stop in and eat.
