Born and raised in New Albany (Tumbleweeds birthplace), I grew up eating this version of Tex-Mex. However, having moved away twenty years ago and having enjoyed real Tex-Mex and well as Mexican in Texas, Mexico, and countless other locations around the country (and the world), I can now say that Tumbleweed has gone the way of Chi-Chis. I gave it a try on a recent visit home and I came away thoroughly underwhelmed. My chicken burrito was overcooked and ultra-bland (try cumin and chili power next time). My dinner companions food was similarly run-of-the-mill. Even the restaurants famed "chili con queso" is essentially melted Velveeta with a bit of jalapeño floating on top. Childhood memories cannot replace the reality of this awful food. I have no plans of ever returning (instead, there are plenty of great Mexican restaurants in town serving real Mexican food).

We loved Tumbleweed 15 years ago. Its gone way down hill since then. Tonight was terrible. They lost our ticket but the food was taken care of due to extreme wait. Im more swore over the bad margarita and draft beer that I paid for. How do you serve a bad draft beer? And Ive never met a "bad" beer in my life. I guess we this was our last visit to Tumbleweed.

Food was good. Service the last 2 times has been poor. This time I was told they were cutting lemons and would bring them out. Never did. Asked for more chips. Never got them. Had to ask twice for cilantro. Didnt keep drinks filled.

Ive been to Tumbleweed in Louisville KY, always enjoy the food . Went to New Albany IN decided to eat there, the service was good, the food didnt agree with either one of us by time got home. Ended up throwing leftovers away

Love Tumbleweed especially the one on State Street in New Albany. The food is always hot and prepared perfectly. Have eaten there for years and always ask for server named Amy. Shes great!! A great place to take kids.

Terrible!!!!!! Service was awful and no one was there! The food was just fair. My last trip to tumbleweeds. The manager was just ahhhh.....Im not wasting any more time. Dont stop here!
