Its an expensive dive! And the food was a MEH, to say the least. I tried it with a Groupon and still I paid too much. The interior looked sad. For a place called Cafe Society it looks like its in the old Soviet Union. Its just dusty and old looking and not in a charming way. The food was tasty, but way over priced for the quality and service. Its an old hold out from a bygone era before yelp or Google, when people ate ate places without reviews on social media. Most people I know that told me its good are 70+ yrs old. There wasnt anything on the menu that said French except maybe escargot. Eat here only if someone else is footing the bill.

The food is good, the service is great, the overall feel was very positive , the atmosphere is very comfortable, so for that I give them 4 stars. The Interior on the other hand needs some serious TLC, which detracts from the total experience and doesnt match the price point they are going after. Having said that it still has a cute vibe, if you dont look up, so for that I will give them 2 stars. Verdict: has potential, would go back

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. The food, the homey atmosphere and the service are exceptional. You will not find a better meal or place to spend your evening in Memphis. The bar menu is more wallet friendly, but equally as good. Try the bar salmon, unbelievable. The bar is always filled with regulars that make you feel at home, Memphis is lucky to have this restaurant.

A old friend of mine invited me to have drinks there and it kinda shocked me that he had found a place to regularly hangout in Memphis that I hadnt been. Its fairly on the small side but had a really awesome curved bar. The bartender was friendly and poured with a heavy hand. I met a super hot older woman and even tho I wasnt able to seduce her, Im going to give this 5 stars.

My girlfirend and I had recently went to Cafe Society and regardless of the reviews below it was terrific and had a great staff. We ordered the lamb and the filet which was terrific which both was just the right portion. Paired with a bottle of great wine recommend by the server we had a great night in a great restaurant.

I was a little disappointed. I went here on a date with my girlfriend and while the ambiance is that of a good date night, the service was a little scattered and the food was dull. Menu items are fair and run a good range. Parking can be a bit of a problem.

I went there one evening and sat at the bar to eat. My goodness it was amazing. The bartender was quick with our drinks, the food was amazing, and it was well priced. I would recommend this place to everyone. In fact I am going to have lunch there today!
