My husband and I had a very forgetable dinner at this restaurant last night; were it not for the stomache purge the morning after. The food was adequately prepared; nothing spectacular and somewhat bland on the seasoning. The service was truly subpar. Our server hurriedly dropped off the blue cheese souffle & chips, the menus; mumbled something about what he was leaving & said he would be back; then rushed over to "body rub" the hostess at the end of the bar. His expanation of the "Tasting" menu left us in a complete state of confusion & if he had explained it as a guide for ordering would have been much clearer. We have tried, and enjoyed, Jim Fialas other 2 restaurants; but not this one. Looks tired and dated & the wait staff seemed disinterested. For the money & calories consumed; we were "kicking" ourselves that we didnt go back to Niche!!

We were surprised that when we arrived at the restaurant there were only a few customers in the place. The service was great. The rest of the evening, not so much. My wife and I were on our only vacation of the year and we had eaten the same things all day until we came to the Crossing. We had the same salads so the only difference was the second course and entre. Anyway, I was in extreme misery for the next 24 hours between the vomiting and the diarrhea caused by their food, whether it was the spinach or the seafood or the fish? Who knows. We contacted them and were offered another meal as compensation for the $200.00 we spent there and losing one day out of a four day vacation. Sorry, fool me once, okay, but not going to fool me twice.

Most excellent in every way! Awesome foodie experience and service is excellent. Great attitudes from all staff with out being there too much. Good atmosphere for conversation and very cozy. Perfect for romantic dinner or entertaining. Only one suggestion would be is to put real flowers on the tables, they have these plastic glued together arrangements of fake flowers and for the prices and with white tablecloth real flowers would be more appropriate imo. Sorry to nit pick. Again this is a must go to restaurant in STL!

WHat only 4.4 stars, my wife and I had the The Grand Chef tasting menu, OMG thank you GOD for giving the chefs the inspiration to create a culinary journey, we didnt know what we were getting, but every course was an exquisite adventure. Because with each course we were each served a different food selection we shared each plate so we got a 16 course meal. Amazingly entertaining. We will return with friends.

Phenomenal food! Jimmy is an amazing chef who cares not only for the taste and presentation of the food, but the quality of food he serves--intentionally seeking out local, organic, farm raised, etc. ingredients for his dishes. He is also very willing to work with allergies or special dietary requests (and it STILL tastes outstanding!). Also, the best service Ive experienced in St Louis. Two thumbs way up!

Very very delicious food. Unreal service, our waitress was by far the nicest and most delightful server Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. The food was perfectly portioned, the wine was delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect. I wish I could remember the waitresses name, but she and my girlfriend basically became best friends during our time there, made for an excellent date night.

of the many restaurants i have tried in st. louis, this was not one of my favorites. the restaurant has a nice feel inside, the services was good, but lacked crispness (especially for the prices they are charging), but the food was very disappointing. my pasta was overcooked and lamb shank was average. in fact, many of the plates at our table were only half eaten.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at The Crossing recently. My choice for the evening, the Chefs Tasting Menu was exquisite. My husband thoroughly enjoyed one of the specials, halibut. Our waiter was impeccable, attending to every need with just the right amount of attention without being intrusive. We look forward to our next dinner at The Crossing.

Highly recommend the Chefs tasting and wine flight. The food and wine were all awesome. We had a great time. Douglas, our waiter did a great job explaining every dish and wine.
