Over all i gave 3 stars, food here is usually pretty good, that being said today it wasnt good at all, not sure why... It just tasted off, it wasnt just me either, everyone in my party agreed, we tried all the flavors, the caronlina mustard, apple dapple, and the sweet and spicy. There wasnt much meat on our sandwiches, just alot of sauce... The mac and cheese tasted old and wasnt much of it either... The service was way below standard and thats crazy giving that its usually awesome... Looks like they had new people or something, not really sure.. I will try this place again it will just be a while before i come back.... Theres a place in south knoxville called volunteer bar b q.. I would recommend people to give that place a shot, some of the best food i have ate, especially the ribs and mac n cheese.. Again this is a review based on my service today. I hope this review helps people and helps the company correct any issues they may be having.... Thank you for taking the time to read this review and hope everyone has a blessed day.

Visiting the area for work and saw this place and I was iffy from the looks because its a run down sonic. This place truly gives the saying looks are deceiving truth!! Absolutely amazing MUST GO BBQ! 5 stars or better all the way from the service from the young man with the gauges Im terribly sorry I didnt get his name because he was awesome really helped us make a selection he should definitely be looked at for management very people person and knows his food. We got the big boy box which samples it all. Brisket is by far the best followed by the juicy chicken and then the fall of the bones ribs literally. The pork and sausage was also phenomenal. The only thing I wished for was sweet bbq sauce and not spicy but then again this food had no need for sauce! Will return during our stay may even drive all the way from Florida to just eat here again!!

On 8-19-2017 around 5oclk I paid for the driest bbq one could possibly ingest. I ordered a 9$ brisket sandwich the worst ever ....how did yall manage the ring of pink on meat and dryness at the same time. The bbq on the hogdawg was dry asf too!!! Never in my life have I had bad bbq touch my tongue until this place ....who ever you are why would cook the meat that long and then serve it in exchange for money ....I got robbed that wasnt brisket it was bark. Im glad I had friends with me I could have choke and died alone off of your meat ....i had to throw the damn sandwich away ....thanks a lot!!!

Not sure where these fools writing reviews about the ribs being mushy cause they fall off the bone are from, but im from Knoxville and we call it cooked to perfection. So with that being said i just bought a half rack and brought home and they are some of the best ribs i have ever had and i travel for a living. The staff was very friendly and the ribs were cooked to perfection with the most flavorful seasoning and awesome bbq sauce.I will no longer try ribs in other Cities cause i just found the best on Cedar Lane in Knoxville.(My back yard)

Well ordering was pleasant and curious. We had gotten the pulled pork sandwich combo and a hawg dog combo. My son loved his dog, and my pulled pork was second to none. That made it exactly how I wanted it. The pork had an excellent but not overwhelming smoke flavor. We will defiantly come back again. Oh and if you get some awesome purple kool aid it was a little sweet for me, but they will water it down for you a little. Really made it awesome. Oh and how could I forget. The service was awesome. Its a lot better than you would expect.

Just had hotel continental breakfast on our way to brunch but had to stop by. So worth it. Brisket was tender but not mushy. Good bark. Rub had a peppery flavor but did not overwhelm the taste of the meat. Nice smoke rin and great smokey flavor. BBQ so was ok, but totally unnecessary. Meat was fantastic. Moist but not fatty. Only regret is that is wasnt hungrier. Cant wait to go back and try more. Wanted butt ends but was told Friday only. Who says you have to be hungry ro eat BBQ. Excellent find.

Great BBQ!!!!! My Husband and I stopped by while in knoxville on vacation. We Ordered the Big Boy platter which is a sample of all the meats which included pull pork, beef brisket, pulled chicken Ribs and sausage. We know Good BBQ because my husband is a grill master!!!! And this was Good BBQ!!!! The smoke flavor was there!!!! We also enjoyed the fixings green beans, Mac and cheese, baked beans and Good ole Potato salad. Will definitely return again on our next vacation. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

We stayed at the hotel across the street, and decided to stop in for a late dinner. Even though we showed up after usual business hours, the staff took a break from their closing procedures and made our order. I had a sampler of every meat, and all of them were awesome, as well as the bbq chicken nachos. Portions are very, very generous as well. I doubt I could overstate the quality of the grub, but really its the inviting nature of the staff that will guarantee our return everytime were in town.

Let me start out by saying I love this place!!! The staff is always kind, courteous, and fun! The ribs fall off the bone every time! The Angry Andy sandwich has the perfect level of spice. The wings are crispy on the outside and moist inside. Oh and let me not forget my favorite!! The Friday special, Burnt Ends!!! The only down fall I can find is that not everything is available all the time, but I guess thats what makes them special!

Food is awesome! The bf and I came here when we moved to north knox, and we were both fairly disappointed with our meals. We decided to try them again, and were not disappointed! This place has the best bbq nachos! The ribs and the pork sandwich are amazing! The sides are kind of small, but the fries have a nice large portion. Were really glad we tried this place again, and now were making this a regular takeout place.

Had the rib sandwich served on "Texas Toast", fries, and a beverage. The pork was decent, although riddled with cartilage and bone fragments from where they pulled the bones out poorly. It was supposed to be served on Texas toast, which consisted of two pieces of white bread, non toasted. The fries were bland and warm. The soda I ordered tasted like it was improperly mixed with the CO2. All that for $12. Will not return.

Eh. Its not bad. Its not awesome either. Plus side: The smoker is prominent and usually the smoked meat smell is whetting appetites for blocks around. Also, I dont usually love pickles, but theirs are super. Minus side: maybe its just me, but the way the menu is put together makes the pricing a low value for a meal Id want. Pretty OK: the food taste is decent. Quantity, again, is OK. Not great; but not bad.

In the area for vacation, did not want to eat at the same chain restaurant, and glad we didnt. Food was good - especially the pulled chicken and pulled pork, and the baked beans were amazing. Service was 5 stars*****! Definitely family friendly, kids liked playing bags and the hula hoops - and writing on the wall!!! If youre in the area, the service will make you glad you stopped to eat!
