Went in on a Sunday before dinnertime. Ordered Big Boy Platter with 1/3 rack of ribs to get a sample of their BBQ. The pork and chicken was quite good. Soft and tender, but very lukewarm. Same with the ribs. The meat on the rib did pull apart decently well, but cutting into it to separate the bones sounded like cutting into a vegetable on a chopping block. It doesnt want to cut, then straight to the table. Mac and Cheese was good, but the creamed corn was also lukewarm. And half of the corn seemed to be corn kernel husks rather than a full kernel. As for the BBQ sauces, it seemed watered down for some reason. I could barely taste the Original, and the Kansas City and Holy Jalapeno had no kick to it at all. Now you could argue that it was a Sunday on a quiet afternoon and the food had been sitting a bit, but what really got to me was how the owner/manager/supervisor almost seemed annoyed that I walked in. I didnt even know he worked there until I heard someone mumble something and I looked over to see this guy in an Archers BBQ shirt. Dragged himself to the back to prep the food while another worker took my order. Once I finished my food, he was back at burying his face into his phone. Im glad, however, that other people have received good service and served a quality meal. However, I seemed to have gotten the bottom-of-the-barrel food and a owner/manager/supervisor whos had a bad day. TL;DR: Pretty good food. Would be even better if hot. Same with the service. Service was colder than the food.

Let me get this out of the way first: This is some seriously incredible BBQ. Im from South Eastern VA where we have plenty of really great Carolina BBQ so I like to think Im a fairly well qualified voice on BBQ. I say this having eaten at a number of regional BBQ staple restaurants: Archers is among the absolute best. Their meat is great, their sauces are superb, and their sides are seriously the best Ive ever had. The potato salad is truly to die for. Best Ive ever had by a long shot. The only complaint I have is that service was wildly subpar—bordering on rude even. That said, as soon as I tasted the food, that was totally forgiven. Ill be back for sure. Really incredible place.

Growing up in the South almost naturally guaranteed I would love pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw, collard greens and baked beans. What I love about Archers BBQ is 4 of my favorite things to eat are TOP NOTCH. The BBQ is tender juicy and delicious. The cold slaw is tangy and a perfect choice to top your sandwich off ! The collard greens are probably better than my grandmothers and the beans are a great complimentary dish. Wash it down with some sweet tea for a perfect meal. One last thing for all you rib lovers: go ahead and get the full rack even if you cant eat them while you are here. You will want them later. Trust me on this.

Holy smoked cows, that was delicious bbq! The wife and I stopped in on our way back to Virginia. Well worth it! Ignore the reviewer complaining about the price. The prices are completely fair for what youre getting. And 5 dollars for tea? Thats only if youre trying to buy like a gallon of it. Everythig was fresh and delicious, even close to closig time when we stopped in. Also he first sweet potatoe chips Ive ever enjoyed. You guys need to expand to Virginia like, yesterday.

Full disclosure before I say a word here: my agency proudly does marketing for Archers BBQ. Having said that, I can enthusiastically say, with as little bias as I can, that Archers is some of the best barbecue (and sides!) that I have ever tasted. I like to grill and smoke at home, and I still cant make my ribs taste like Archers! My entire family loves it when I say, "Lets go to Archers." Try them. You wont be disappointed.

I dont usually like pulled pork in general, but their pulled pork is outstanding! It is the only place I will order pulled pork from in Knoxville. Only have brisket on Friday : ( I wish they had it available every day of the week. Friendly and helpful staff. They have a small dinning area available if you dont want takeout. Good variety of BBQ sauces! The greens are really good.

The food is great. I wouldve 5 starred it if the guy that took my order didnt have tobacco in his lip. Im pretty sure that is a health code violation. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Great food.

Stopped in on our way back to Michigan. OMG!!!!! Best BBQ EVER!!!! I would eat here every day if I could. Archers puts all Michigan BBQ to shame. If youre ever in the area, you must stop and try it.
