Hands down best Sushi Ive ever had. It was yum yum delish! And the staff are super awesome. I mean some days better than others but thats just because theyre human and I dont expect everyday to be the best but dang they do a great job. I like the Germantown location more than the east memphis one though. My favorite rolls are the DJ roll (fried and served warm which IMO is awesome) and the sexy lady roll and then the small rolls like the jackson roll. Also the Quasimoto is tasty too! The salads are always fresh and I love the peanut dressing- great stuff! All in all 10/10 I am a regular here (often as I can afford to come) and its definitely my go to Sushi place and dinner if Im feeling some Japanese food. Thanks guys!!

I worked at a sushi restaurant for 6 months, so I have high expectations when it comes to raw fish. I just ate at Sakura, and it was phenomenal! Even though it was a busy Saturday night, my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. I got a Tornado Roll, which was salmon, white tuna, avocado, and crunchy flakes. It comes with ponzu sauce, but I substituted eel sauce and would recommend you do the same. But, the Mermaid Salad blew me away! It was sliced assorted fish with cucumbers, avocado, spicy mayo, and lots of masago. Seriously, it is like crack. Sakura is functional, understated, and a solid value in my opinion. Peace.

Im sick of most of the sushi in Memphis. Sakura has one strong point - rolls. You must try the Joyce, Caterpillar, and Alfredo to start. Almost every roll they have is good and the selection is amazing. Beware that these rolls are unlike anything else you have had. The portions are huge so dont get too excited on your first round. Keep an eye out for special rolls. They are described on a board at the front door. If you want some sushi prepared in a certain way, just let them know and they will accommodate you. The nigiri and sashimi selections are good as well.

My husband and I think this place rates 5 stars. We both love the Joyce roll, the Jackson Roll and their spicy crawfish rolls. Many times we have met friends at this restaurant for Happy Hour/dinner. When word travels that we are going, our group is usually 10 or more strong. We also like the Yaki Udon noodles with Chicken. All their food is Yummy! The staff is very personable and remembers your face from a previous visit. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. We travel 30 miles on way to get our "sakura" fix!

I grew up in Jackson and the best sushi there was Sakura. When I moved to Memphis for college, I tried to keep an open mind and try sushi elsewhere but I just couldnt match the unique flavor and variety of Sakura. I have never been satisfied with another sushi place since I discovered Sakura. The best rolls are the Joyce, Jackson, Mexico, etc. Also, you should definitely try the broccoli salad or the house salad with creamy dressing. Other sushi places just lack flavor in comparison.

My best Japanese restaurant that I have found so far living in Memphis for 15 years! Their foods are delicious and the quantity is large compared to all of these Japanese restaurants in Memphis. The prices are so reasonable that you cannot complain. The service is mostly great, sometimes there are cranky ladies working there. I just love the foods! That is all I can say. I always introduce to my friends and collegues if they havent tried it. Thanks all!!

My experience was take out alone: This is honestly the best take out I have ever gotten at a japanese restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant. Its not that expensive for what you get. However, the times that Ive been here, the restaurant is quite popular, so if you go here to eat instead of take-out, just give them a call to see if you can still go there, that its not overbooked. Excellent food!!

Decided to try this place because of the great reviews. I normally love sushi and have tried restaurants all over the country. This is honestly the first time I couldnt finish my two favorite rolls. Both rolls were served warm, which wasnt the worst part. The yellowtail had a VERY off taste, and the smoked salmon tasted as if it was soaked in liquid smoke--disgusting. I wouldnt risk eating here again.

The sushi is definitely the best around. Their specialty rolls are so huge and delicious. They recently changed their menus but our favs were still there, even added more rolls. We love the DJ roll and Alfredo roll. The mermaid salad and beef tataki are awesome also. Minus 1 star for the group gratuity that we didnt catch on the front end so they got tipped twice.

This is one of my favorite sushi spots in Memphis. I work around the corner and its always my go to for fresh, affordable sushi. I always order take out and ive never had an incorrect or disappointing order. My favorite rolls are the Brenda, Mardi Gras, and Deep Sea. As someone who used to work in a sushi place, I would highly recommend Sakura.

I really love the Joyce Roll. The dining environment is nice, very casual. The menu has a lot to choose from, and their very inexpensive. The Joyce Roll is about $9.00, and its very large. The staff is always nice & professional. My co-worker & I go there to get lunch all the time! Try this restaurant and you will not be disappointed!

The sushi is so good here. I ate at their other restaurant in Jackson, TN years ago and loved it. However, they sold that location to focus on the two restaurants in the Memphis area a while back. I happened to stumble across their place in Germantown while shopping in Saddle Creek. Its just as great as I remember. Go eat here!

NBA (Natural Born Asian) live in Japan and Hawaii as well as Cali. Sakura has the best Sushi and Japanese food in Memphis and probably this region. Both East Memphis and Germantown locations are very good and have consistent service. Parking is a pain during lunch rush so get there early!

This is our special spot for celebrating. My wife and I got spoiled with sushi, living in Korea, and Sakura has the best weve had in Memphis. We try to avoid those places that only offer premade rolls covered in some sauce or other. The stuff here, while localized, is fresh and authentic.

It was absolutely amazing. It was very busy, so it took a little longer to get food, but it,was so incredibly worth the wait. I had the ten don, which was delicious, and my mother, who is extremely particular about her yakisoba, found it to die for. Keep up the good work!

Everyone I know says this is the best sushi in town. Always crowded at dinner, you may wait. Lunch is fast and never a wait. It is hard to find a parking spot sometimes. Park at BYB or Wendys. Ive eaten here over 40 times and its always fresh and consistent.
