March 3, 2017: Here me when I say this: this was the worst experience Ive had at a restaurant in a long time. This place should remove the name shoguns from their building because they are absolutely trash. Facts: 1) Got seated and served drinks quickly. We then proceeded to wait about 40 minutes before a chef showed up to cook. 2) Chef didnt have the proper amount of food according to what we ordered. Tried to split about 4 regular servings of rice between 7 people. The family across got their portions while my wife and I, who ordered extra rice, received about 3/4 of a single portion each. Chef noticed and brought out more from the back but only brought one single portion to be split between us two. Again, no extra rice. 3) Noodles. How you screw up noodles Ill never know. These were not regular lomain noodles. They were spaghetti noodles. They served us spaghetti noodles. Fn spaghetti noodles man. They were terrible. Thats all I have to say about that. 4) By now were obviously upset so my wife goes to the owner to see whats up. He basically said piss of, theres nothing he can do. Says he never gets bad reviews so it must just be us. Guy was completely carefree and couldnt give half a damn about our experience. An utter failure at life. He said he was not part of the Shoguns franchise and that he does his own thing. He just seems like a really cheap guy trying to cut corners and it showed. Add that to his not giving a damn about his customers complaints and this dude earns himself Turd Burglar of the week. If you love Shoguns and are looking for one near Clarksville avoid this place like the plague.

We’re usually fans of Shogun; however, tonight is the last night we’ll dine there. The hibachi chef accidentally gave one of the guys at our table the wrong steak. The chef took the steak off this guy’s plate, threw it back on the grill for a few seconds (leaving bits of rice and food on it), then plunked it on my plate and my husband’s. Obviously the look we gave him screamed disgust (would you eat something that was sitting on top of someone’s used plate and fork half a minute before?), so he cooked up two additional steaks and placed them ON TOP of the steak that was previously in someone else’s plate. We quickly asked for our ticket and after arguing that we wouldn’t pay $78 for food we barely touched, managed to make it out of there by paying for our kid’s food. I’ll be going to Hananoki or Kohana from now on.

Everything was awful. Terrible sushi and rolls. The fish was not fresh and the white tuna half frozen. Whatever kind of barbecue sauce came on one of our rolls tasted like the entire roll had been thrown on a grill and burnt. Another roll we got wasn't made how we requested and by this point I was ready to get out of there. I argued with the waitress AND manager (both who were very rude and had no desire to please a customer) about getting at least one of the rolls taken off of our bill since there were 3 that we didn't touch because of the poor quality and frozen fish. She said there was nothing that could be done and refused to do anything about it. It was ridiculous. I will never be going back and will advise anyone thinking about trying it to take your business elsewhere!

Dont waste your money! TERRIBLE service! Our waitress was very rude the entire meal. The food was decent, and much over priced for it to just be decent! We had stuff floating around in our drinks and when we pointed it out and asked for new ones THERE WAS STILL STUFF FLOATING AROUND IN THE NEW ONES! And our waitress could careless! Disgusting! The sushi we ordered was warm and just fell completely apart. We are not very picky people and dont go out all that often so this was very very disappointing! I would HIGHLY recommend eating els where to get your Japanese/sushi fix! VERY DISAPPOINTED! We will definitely be trying Kohana or Fuji Yama next time!!!

Love the place.. but a rude couple came in and refuse to sit at our table hibachi grill table. So they went and stood by the door until they got spoiled with their own table. Ummmm hello dont make the rules. They have it set up for this reason. Less mess and more entertaining. You two made it known yall are obnoxious. Today was to be celebrating my sons birthday not listening to yalls stupid conversation so loud that the fan over the grill couldnt drown yalls voices out. Yall should have gone to panada express if your going to be that obnoxious and bratty.. like i said fantastic restaurant but rude customers.

Sushi is absolutely terrible.... You can get better sushi at a chinese buffet. The prices compared to the servings is over priced and the best part was when you get your food on you plate the count down begins. What I mean by this is that I think they have a timer that once the last food is off the grill you have 2 minutes to finish before they are clearing your plate and putting it in a to go box and escorted you to the door. Terrible service but in and Army town they think they can just get by with this type of service because 20 more Soldiers are wating in line to get treated like trash. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

This review is only on the sushi. I have had lots of sushi at lots of places and its not that it was bad completely, but it was shaky at best. All the fish had wasabi under it. And the roll I ordered was over sauced. The shrimp seemed stale, and the fish was not chilled at all. It was almost warm. One of the pieces was turning brown when I picked it up. It could have been okay but I wasnt going to chance it. All of these things I have found are done to hide not so fresh fish. I did not try their hibachi so that could be good. But I have had way better sushi for less in the middle of the Arizona dessert.

This was the worst place Ive ever eaten from. My husband and I ordered dinner as take out for the family. When we got home to eat it, all of our adult portions were smaller then the kids portions we ordered. It wa ridiculous. Why did we spend over $30 per meal to get 1/4 of a steak and only 2 pieces of shrimp? I will NEVER ever eat here again!!!! I dont recommend this place to anyone! I even called to ask to talk to the manager and he acted as if I was an idiot and lying. What horrible customer service!

The food isnt bad, but the service is so terrible that its not worth going here. Our waitress was extremely rude and acted like we were ruining her day. She got very frustrated and stormed off when I asked for a drink for my son and some rice. It was honestly a strange experience. The couple behind us had something wrong with their meal too and were at the front arguing with the owner while we were leaving. Safe to say we wont be going back here.

This is our go-to hibachi place in the Clarksville-Hopkinsville area. Very conveniently located to the interstate. We usually avoid going during prime time hours like Friday and Saturday nights. They can be pretty busy then, but it just goes to show how good it is. They have several all star cooks, that make the experience all that much better due to the quality of their cooking. They also have a great sushi selection.
