The only description I can give the owner of crumb buns is an unskilled con-artist. Not only did the cake I ordered look like a kindergarten project they misspelled my husband’s name “WILL”. Since this was a surprise party I had a friend pick up the cake a few hours before time. When she sent me the picture of this monstrosity, all I could do was cry. I called the store right away and spoke with the employee on duty. They offered to correct the misspelling and provide a partial refund. With the time constraint I was under that was the best I was going to get. A majority of the cake was uneatable by our guest, whom shared my observation that either this cake was beyond the skill level of the business or they simply didn’t care what the product looked like after receiving payment. I could have save 2/3 of my money and had Wal-Mart make the cake. At 120.00 I expected much more. When a returned to the store on Tuesday for the “promised” refund of $45.00, the owner said he would only refund $20.00, because the cake had been returned damaged, which was a bald faced lie. Don’t just take my word for it, look at the pictures that will be posted on yelp and tripadvisor of what I ordered and what this crook produced. Being unskilled is one thing, being a liar and a cheat is down right despicable.

My family and I feel like we walked into a bakery back home; the aroma of the coffee, breads and deserts fill the shop as well as a warm homey back home feel with music and eye appealing decor. The signature desert the Crumb Bun is made as a crumb bun should; less cake more crumb; delicious. Another favorite is the Canoli, can almost write a review on everything that is made. So if you want the feel of back home and the taste, I highly recommend this bakery. Lived here for 10 years and have not found a bakery on the Grand Strand that comes close.

Crumb cakes and bear claws are just what the doctor ordered, just great! We bought a dozen cupcakes for a dinner at a friends house, best desert ever. Everyone just enjoyed all the different kinds!
