The cookies are good, not great, however customer service is not one of their strong points. My wife was purchasing a dozen cookies and I saw a scone sitting on a paper plate on the counter. It had crumbs all around it as if another scone had been on the same plate and consumed. I see samples like this all the time. I asked the short dark-haired woman if it was indeed a sample. She told me it was, so I broke off a small piece for my wife to try as shes a big scone fan. We got the bill and were charged for it! What! When I went back inside to see what was the problem she told me i had touched it so I bought it. Maybe other people will continue to shop there, but no one in my family will. Let them cheat someone else if they need the income that bad.

I was on my way to some apple picking in Delaplane and decided to stop here because of the other reviews. Boy, am I glad we stopped by! No joke, the Cow puddles were great! Butterscotch and pecans, yummy! We also picked up a peach pie for home, and it was still warm. Tons of peaches and all homemade, it was awesome. We also tried their pulled pork sandwich, chicken salad sandwich and a turkey with avocado, all great and good sized for the money. I plan on swinging by again soon! Must go and check out the place. It is a small place and when you walk in, look to your right, the hole leads to the area where you are served. Mind the creaky floorboards! The place sure has character!

Hands down the best pies around!! Its become a family tradition to include a Jingleberry Pie at any family function. We pride ourselves in our home made dishes (including pies/desserts) but The Upper Crust is so remarkable we include their creations right along side our own family recipes. Have yet to be disappointed in 15 years! Everything is scrumptious but those pies are out of this world. Cherry and Jingleberry are our two favourites.

The baked goods are great!! The owner is very nice as well!! The lady that works there is not friendly at all!! She has no personality and she sucks the life out of a nice treat. I wish she would put a smile on her face and enjoy her job!! If you dont enjoy your job, find a new one!!! I go there regularly but never enjoy dealing with such and unfriendly face!!

The staff is professional, polite and courteous. In addition, they have excellent food. They have the absolute BEST berry Scones that I have ever eaten........ And believe me, I am the Connoisseur of Berry Scones! These are THE BEST EVER. In fact, I would walk miles for a good scone! This is the place to be!

I love this place. Its straight-forward. Dont drive up expecting Dupont Circle to greet you with an app and vibrating pagers for your reservation. They keep things simple and do it their way. Respect that. They make a mean pie and killer cookies. Ive been going there for over ten years and will continue to do so.

We stop here every time we are in Middleburg. Amazing fresh baked goods. Last trip we picked up two cakes that were fabulous. This time we went with the Breakfast croissants which were also fabulous. Very friendly.
