I am going to start with the only positive thing that they did during this visit and that was refund our meal after waiting over 45mins to get it. Regardless of size if they had their act together they would be able to handle the flow of customers. Ontop of forgetting our order 35mins in and disappearing with my receipt they gave us meager portions on a platter dish that was supposed to be fish and shrimp (minus the shrimp as stated in the next part). It gets better. At customer 84 they realized they had no more popcorn shrimp and we were customer 89. To sum this all up the atmosphere in here was such a joke it was not even funny. From angry people to employees laughing and goofing around in the back while people wait endlessly for their food is not an experience I want anyone to go through. This food might be good but I disagree that a 45min wait or anywhere 30-40min wait is worth it. If you have a lifetime to spend waiting for food that might or might not come to you based on this performance then go for it. If not stay clear of here.

We visited Popeyes Chick on US 17 just south of Myrtle Beach, SC. Worst service we have had at a Popeyes Chicken. We ordered an 8 piece chicken meal and extra Red beans and rice. We were asked to pull forward in the drive through after we paid. There was a man in a truck in front of us who was also asked to pull forward We waited over 20 minutes. The man in the truck got out and went inside and got his money back and drove off upset. We decided to wait and after 10 more minutes our daughter went inside to see what was going on. She came back 10 minutes later with our food and said every customer inside was upset and making comments about the service there. So when we got back to our hotel we found that one of the chicken wings was only the tip of the wing. Sheesh!!! We will never eat at this Popeyes again.

The food was very good, though the rice extremely over cooked. Service was below par. We went through the drive and had ordered two meals with drinks. The manager was the one who waited on us at the window. When he opened the window, he and two other employees were arguing and using profanities. He gave us our food then our change.. we waited for him to realize we needed our drinks and sauce, while he argued some more. Then he rudely said "yes?" We reminded of our drinks and sauce then left. I have worked for the company that owns this particular popeyes previously and I know that this service is not up to their standards and this is and will cost them customers in the future.

Out of the popcorn shrimp the night that my family and I went. Also ran out of the mild tenders, so the girl asked me if I wanted spicy. When I told her no, she acted pissy, and told me it would take however many minutes to cook more mild ones. I told her I would wait. Then she brought one little dinky thing of sauce to go with 5 tenders. None of the employees want to be there...when I went to the rest room, there were two employees back at the restroom, and I heard one say to the other, "They dont pay me enough to do that!" Dont know what she was talking about, unless it was being friendly to the customers.

This place is the worse. 5 pc. tender order, I got 3 my husband got 4, the fries were cold and the mash potatoes, biscuits were hard as a rock and all they had as far as Coke was Vanilla Coke....We will never go back, the tourist will have to keep this place going because the locals sure wont....I posted on my FB page how bad and within minutes I had at least 20 friends comment how bad it was and how they will never go back....Good Luck...Ive been there once and that was enough....A waste of money for sure....Ill give them 1 star for new building

Its good fried chicken and biscuits. I do not really like their sides. No salad options if you want something lighter. The indoor seating is usually uncomfortable between loud cajun music and freezing air condioner. Chicken strips are like rubber. They are weird cuts of breast meat that are stringy. $5 boxes are usually a good value as well as bone - in chicken meals. Other items( like their sandwiches and seafood options) seem expensive for what you get. Fried pies for dessert are tasty. Service is friendly.

Customer service was horrible, my boyfriend asked the lady what were the sides that come with the $5 box and she gave us a dumb ass look and proceeded to point to the menu behind and snicker . 20 minutes later when our food was done we got back to our table our fries were old and cold and stale . Theyre was a hair in my shrimp basket . The best thing I had here was the biscuit . Overall my experience was horrible here and I will never be returning to this establishment and I actually like popeyes .

The food here is excellent and the long waits are due to the overwhelming crowds in such a small establishment so it is understandable. If you dont want to wait in line for good food then simply dont come here. It is visible when you pull into parking lot that the place is super busy so you know there is a line before you even get out of your car. The wait is typically 30-40 minutes during the busy times but if you go when they are not busy the wait is only about 10-15 minutes. ALWAYS FRESH!!!

My husband and I order our food at 5:58pm. The cashier said then it was going to be about 12 min for our chicken to cook. Our order number was 49. At 6:25 they were calling 54, 55 .so another worker asked what was our number. Then the cook said it was going to be 5 more min on chicken. Because they had a large order called in at 4:00.which was lack of communication . It was ridiculous to have waited on 2 order of 3pc chicken. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

Everytime I have gone us been some sort of an issue. Most recently went in for boneless wings at lunch . And here came the excuse sorry they arent ready yet. And this was at noon. Tried to order the shrimp sorry we are out of those. So I just left. Told manager about it. Acted like so what. Pretty sure if they keep it up they will not be in by for long. To many other great restaurants around.

The cashier are so nasty. You ask them a question and they give you a nasty attitude. Those ladies are nasty with a nasty attitude, we drive forever to not have a blossom chicken. Very nasty people. Save your time, this people are uneducated when it comes to customer service, I am sure chicken is good but customer service sucks, specially the cashier that I have today. Real nasty

Food is good . Enjoy the fish & shrimp. Great sides to choose from. Better than KFC . Still fairly new location and needs to hire better staff . They are slow &often mess up your orders . Check order before leaving the counter . Would not advise drive thru for this reason . This problem seems to be when ordering for more than 1. Its a shame really ,as I do like the food here .
