First off, I am picky when it comes to restaurants. I like fresh and I dont do chain type of restaurants. I was eager to try this place since it was a couple blocks from rental cottage. It was ok! I wont be going back. The steamed oysters were ok, the tower salad was good. I had one majo fish taco and it was ok too. It didnt feel like the food was good quality to me. The waitress was nice, the restaurant was a hip place, the happy hour wine was a good price but I didnt like the taste. I was suspicious when the food came out super fast... Cooked fresh, I doubted it. I guess its a good cheap place to hang with friends for cheap food.

Had my gal-pal swing by Pearlz with me to lift her spirits. She had fried shrimp and wahoo over mashed potatoes with an exotic secret sauce. All the while she enjoyed the most gorgeous "dirty" martinis (no one was driving). I simply kept her company, but next time Im going to throw down on Chucktowns great culinary treasure trove with her. Clean environment. helpful staff, cra-cra soundtrack (thats a good thing) at just the right volume. Dont miss this pearl(z). And no, I get no kickback from my positive review(s).

Parking in the rear, we werent really expecting to walk in and be sat with strangers, I have broad shoulders and felt very cramped. But if thats what youre into then go for it. The food was just ok and it was SUPER loud. We asked our server about the bloody Maries on the happy hour menu and she replies "oh we have the best mix".... I dont think that is something to brag to your customers about. Food meh, service meh, left something to be desired... we walked over to the oak barrel across the way and got some killer sushi!

Not sure where all of these reviews came from but we are visiting the Charleston area and went here based on the reviews. Not impressed AT ALL and quite disappointed. Some of the worse food Ive ever had (how do you screw up shrimp tacos??) and service was not much better than the food. Even my drink was very disappointing. I am in shock, as previously stated, with the experience after making the decision to go here based on the reviews.

This is my favorite restaurant in Charleston, and there are LOTS of choices. The raw bar is awesome (oysters on the half shell, peel n eat shrimp). The daily specials are amazing and always delicious...never fails! The tuna burger is killer. Or just close your eyes and point at something, you cant go wrong in here. Try a oyster shooter with chicken noodle vodka, or two. By the way, prices in here are actually reasonable!

Ive been to Pearlz quite a few times since moving to Charleston. The late-night bar scene is pretty good, but I dont think they get enough credit for how awesome the food is here. Some of the best shrimp and grits Ive had in Charleston, and an awesome selection of low country/seafood dishes. Obviously, a great selection of raw oysters and also a pretty solid drink menu. One of my favorite places to eat on this side of town.

Only have HUGE tables that seat 10+ people so not a place for romance or intimacy/quaint gatherings. Food is subpar, but not the worst in town. The atmosphere is extremely loud and rather fraternity-sorority get together like. If youre not comfortable in a large group of 20-30 year olds drunk hitting on each other, choose another restaurant. Service was pretty decent and the prices werent terrible.

I was kinda disappointed, really. Went there for lunch, food was so-so, price was above average, atmosphere was chilly and typical classic rock music loud, and the waitstaff wasnt too interested in helping me. Based on the positive reviews I thought Id get more out of it, but I left feeling like I hadnt gotten my moneys worth, and like it didnt live up to its name. I was let down.

Great happy hour deals. The oysters are gnarly! Fresh and crisp. Had a great time here and will come back whenever possible. Extremely satisfied. Fish was also super fresh. I cannot believe the taste I experienced. Five stars because it blew me out of the water. Interior design was casual and dark. Full service bar coupled with restaurant seating. Staff was perfect.

Pearz WA is always a good place to chill and relax. Staff is always spot on and friendly. Menu is very solid, basic seafood; oysters are always tasty and cold....if you are looking for gourmet and romantic, this is not your spot. Prices are very reasonalbe for CHS and I always leave smiling. Whats not to like unless you are some snob without a clue.

Dont get me wrong, Pearlz really shines when visited as a stop on a bar crawl. that or as a place to eat amazing oysters while pre-gaming. Those are the only things the atmosphere really lends itself to. With that said I LOVE their oysters, and Ive had fun every time Ive been. The prices are just to high for a dive bar, so I gave it a 3 star.

We were in the area only for the evening and looking for a good place to eat. A local recommended Pearlz Little Oyster Bar. The parking was a nightmare, due to their resurfacing. That was the only negative. Everything else was great. The food and service was outstanding. Too bad we live so far away.

Got here right at open, conveniently that is also happy hour. Every employee treated me and my guests like family, the manager even helped us recover some oysters we missed in the bunch. Would recommend this to anyone who loves raw or steamed oysters. Oh and definitely try the vodka oyster shooter!

While in Charleston I Googled the nearest seafood place near me and this was it. The food was really good. I was expecting the oysters to be good and for the rest of the food to be very "bar-like"....was I pleasantly surprised. I will make this a must stop every time I am in town.

I love it at Pearlz in West Ashley. Aubrey and Mike are the best. I get the seafood sliders every time I go, but the fish and chips are a close second! That plus their wheat beer and I am set and happy for the rest of the night! :) Not to mention that I can walk there from my house.

Laid back place, with great food, staff, and drinks. I had the pleasure of eating the best seasoned and perfectly cooked monk fish. My brother went with me and he had the steak. Im not really into seasoned steaks but they had the a great blend on theirs. Cool place to hang out.

This place was incrediable. My wife and I were visiting Charleston to attend a wedding. Several people had told us about this place and this was our first opportunity to give it a try.. Best decision we could have ever made.. Also for dessert, try the bourbon pecan pie...
