As a New Yorker, Im pretty picky with my pizza. That said, Providence Coal Fired Pizza is a really great place. The restaurant itself looks good and has a nice, casual & modern atmosphere. The staff was very nice and friendly. As for the pizza itself, it was very good. The crust wasnt too thick as tends to be the case with a lot of these places and the ingredients all seemed reasonably fresh and of good quality. Theyre oddly shaped (a weird oval looking thing with square slices), but that doesnt really detract from anything. While they had crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese available, they didnt have any oregano or garlic powder, which was unfortunate. Surprisingly, the real star of the meal was their coal fired wings. Seasoned with salt and pepper, heaped with fried onions, then cooked in the same coal fired ovens as the pizza, these wings are an absolute delight. If we werent so full after our meal, we would have gotten another order! These are a cant miss item here. Speaking of cant miss items, try the butterscotch pudding for dessert. Its indescribably amazing!

As far as cola fired pizza goes this place is great, but where they really excel are the grilled chicken wings! I havent had wings this good in a while, and I could even pretend like I was being healthy while I ate them! If you are going to come here theres a few things to keep in mind, first it fills up fast during peak hours, call ahead! Second parking is a bit of a bear, I recommend seeing if theyre doing free valet, they were when we went. The thin crust pizza here is pretty bomb and I enjoyed the pepperoni but their specialty pizzas that had the house made sausage on it were mind blowing! The only thing that stopped this place from being five stars was parts of the pizza werent 100% crisped and the pizza wasnt overly filling (I also hadnt eaten all day and am a bit of an overeater at times to be fair). This place is especially nice because of the short walk to PPAC if a show is going on. If youre looking for some pizza and are in the area I would stop by, even if it is out of your way. Its kind of a no brainier go to if its on route.

This is for NK location, I ordered a carry out order for Marinara sauce with grilled chicken , olives and red onions. I specially asked for no sautéd onion but they were put there anyways. Crust was hard and burnt both sides, the caramelized onions were burnt, inside of the pizza was soggy and the sauce had no taste. Olives were way too salty for the topping. Portion was too small and they charged 24$ for it. Even in downtown NY we dont have to pay that money for the size of Pizza. Couple experience in row makes me think about quality of food at this joint. I talked to the Manager, Mr Santos and sent him email with pictures of burnt pizza, I never heard back from him.

The appetizers were delicious; ribs were tender and flavorful and there was another plate of individual slices of what I assumed was just a smaller version of their pizza and it was great. However, when the actual pizzas came out the pieces of BBQ pulled pork I had were soggy and loaded with onions under the cheese, making it impossible to have a firm thin crust. With the amount of toppings and cheese it was like they were going for a deep dish pizza on a thin crust, even with a fork and knife (something I do not condone as a method for eating pizza) it was a giant mess. Great place to grab drinks and apps though.

Great bartenders, great staff! They Pizza is amazing! Different than anything around by being a simple but classic version of what we have turned Pizza in to. The wings are "FABULOUS" as Josh the bartender would say! Not drowning in sauce, such a simple flavorful, twist. Topped with caramelized onions. A must order! The meatballs have the prefect kick you set them above from any around too. Definitely one if my favorite places! I go there routinely.

Everything from the ambiance, customer service and th quality of the dishes. We sat at the pizza bar, because as you would guess the place was packed! The baked goat cheese was heavenly, the sangrias delish and the pizzas were wonderful. We had the Bianca, Pulled Pork and the Margaherita and all were fabulous! The Bianca was tonights special and was recommended by the pizza makers, yes, pizza makers because they are artists at what they do! Kudos!

We went to the North Kingstown location which recently opened. First time customer and 2 of the 3 pizzas we ordered were burned. The crust was like biting into a stick of coal. It was black! While the pizza had some good flavor, the coal crust diminished how edible it was for consumption. Wings were overcooked and dry. Again, potential for some good flavor when you dont have to chase the wings down with water to digest them.

Absolutely love this place. Service is good, but the food would make even bad service worthwhile. You MUST get the wings, you will not be disappointed. Pizzas are always piping hot and delicious. Toppings are fresh and well distributed. Small selection of beer, and a full bar. Interior is clean and inviting as well. Highly recommend a visit here if youre in town.

The pizza crust is a perfect blend of earthy chew and crispy crunch. We tried a unique blend of clam and potato that tasted right at home in New England. The filling tomato mozzarella soup was excellent and we had two orders of hummus with fennel, pepper and preserved lemon (it was too good to share.) Service was friendly and top-notch.

I think its the best pizza in Rhode Island. If you think its burnt, you just dont get it. The crispy burnt bubbles are part of what makes it so delicious! Most professional staff, too. We love our waiter Alonzo! And the WINGS are out of this world. I love it here and always bring out-of-towners. Very comfortable, and very impressive.

Went to the North Kingstown restaurant last week. First, you are required to valet park. Keep in mind that this is NK. The wings were dry. We ordered the mac & cheese (appetizer) to accompany our pizza. It was served in a small ramekin that crème brulee would typically be served in and it was $10.00...outrageously over priced.

A friend and I had a leisurely Friday dinner at the Waterman Grille. We sat for hours, shared several dishes and took home major yums for later. We watched families, couples, and thoroughly enjoyed our chance to just be. The service was just right--no hovering, and no waiting for that next glass of wine.

Great for dates and taking the kids out! Make sure to make a reservation, it fills up quick. The pizza bar is the best part (seats surrounding the chefs that prepare and cook the pizza), very fun to watch! Food is fantastic from salads to pizzas and is reasonably priced.

While, the service was fast and friendly, the Pizza and the cost of the Pizza had much to be desired. Not only did the Large cheese pizza cost $16, it was small (barely fed 2 people) and mostly burnt. Plus, the taste had much to be desired.

Went once before and the food was mediocre at best. Went tonight to give it a second chance but never made it past the unbelievably rude hostesses. So many other great restaurants in Providence, just pretend this eyesore doesnt exist.
