Popped into this pub because it was the only place open within walking distance to our hotel...during the blizzard of 2009. Of course we called ahead to ask about the beers on tap. Mike responded.."We have 27 beers on tap but we are out of most of them"....yeah....just made us want to leap over tall buildings and snow banks to reach this pub.... Mike was out shoveling the walk...we greeted him and he, well...umm... grumbled. But he soon warmed up to us [Floridians] and ultimately delivered top shelf service. Stella Artois on draft was great, the Zambuca was appropriately chilled....the Mud Chilli Dogs were delicious and yes, the fries really are hand cut. No slinging of hash here! The juke-box selection is acceptable. My only regret is that Mike was not able to personally witness my photo session...of me in my Florida Santa outfit. Oh well. Mike....like a snowball in hell....our hearts melt for Mudville and we gals will cherish our Newport experience forever!!!!

Def the best food in town. Me and my friends had a blast! Crunchy and juicy fish n chips, fresh and unique arugula salad with caramelized watermelon, huge and tasty nachos for everybody! The lobster roll is a must! Went for dinner and came back the day after for lunch. Great beer and wine selection. Clean, nice environment and they have a patio to watch the baseball game next door. Love it.

Great pub great grub. Friendly atmosphere. Lots of beers on tap. Only criticism.... And this is US wide, whats with all the TVs? Cant we just have a proper convo?? Anyway, if you are looking for a quick bite in a chilled out relaxed atmosphere not far from the shipyard. Come here.

I havent tried the food, but I have had drinks out on the patio while a ballgame is going on and its a tough experience to beat.
