Ive eaten there three times and all three were a BAD experience. In one case the service was lousy; they just couldnt handle a large party. In another the food was not hot and it lacked flavor. The salad looked like they went out back and picked some weeds to make it. One evening four of us ate there for dinner and the bill was about $100 and we didnt have anything special and NO drinks. All in all, Ive crossed them off the list of places to eat even though I live less than a mile from there. Ive been told that they do have a pretty good breakfast but you cant prove it by me.

You get what you pay for when you eat out and the Red Plate is worth every penny. Great food, friendly staff, clean facility and a pleasant atmosphere. The reading area has plenty of diners but most of them lack in multiple areas except the Red Plate. Only frustrating thing is you have bring cash for your servers tip as they will not let you add the tip when paying with your card.

Food was okay, took about 30 minutes to come out; bacon was as hard as a rock. Keep in mind that the bacon was 3.79 for 3 pieces. It was also my sons 14 birthday and the waitress demanded his passport for verification. He is 14. Who carries their passport with them... Overall wouldnt come again and not worth the money. Costs about 3x as much as other breakfast places.

I love this place, its the only place in the area with Organic and good healthy options (not just a salad). With my medical diet needs its a great because I can actually eat here. I wish they had a bit more customizable organic options but otherwise they also have a great cook that knows how to make food not just cook it like most diners.

Perhaps one of the cleanest diners in Berks Co. Servers are very friendly and hospitable. The food is a step above the usual salty diner fare one experiences at other diners. Great menu selections. Coffee is excellent, served in glass, not ceramic mugs. We return often and will continue to do so.

It took 25 minutes to deliver a Cobb salad (split into two portions. We ordered it with the pulse melange, which was supposed to be served with pita. That was delivered two minutes after the plates. I can not recommend this restaurant if the prices are high and service is so poor.

Vicky and Chris are wonderful. Separate pans and utensils for gluten free. Gluten free pancakes and French toast. Just let them know your allergies. I got an omelette with a side of grilled veggies and a gluten free banana chocolate chip pancake. So delish!

Service was good, on a busy Sunday morning they seated us quickly for a party of 7. Food was excellent with a classic and impeccable ambiance. Prices a bit higher than the greasy spoons but worth it! Also great gluten free pancakes.

Service is good, interesting specials and CLEAN. While the hours are limited, the Red Plate Diner is an outstanding diner and the best in the area. As standard diner fare is rated the Red Plate would be a easy FIVE star.

Pretty good place usually I would start my Saturday morning with breakfast then head up to the penn Werner was very disappointed when nikos at night closed was my go to every Saturday night for months please bring it back

Horrible. Worst diner experience ever. 43 dollars for messed up order, no fries for little kids meal that stated fries, got burger almost ate before potatoes wedges came for adults. Etc. Wont stop there again.
