Our party of seven arrived at different times so as the first couple there we were treated with complete and total disregard. There was no one to seat us so we sat at an open community style table. Someone showed up after 20+ minutes while we perused mini menus left previously on the huge over-wide wooden slat table. At least it was clean**. I asked at the "coffee prep" area if I could get a cup only to be looked at as if I had 2 heads with audacity to annoy working staff. Finally a pleasant female said she would take our orders even though this was not her station. After a still long wait, the individually made coffees were delivered. We attempted conversations but the noise level of acoustically bouncing surfaces hampered that effort. After a quick vote we moved to her service area and lost our coffee pots as the cleanup was the fastest service** in Le Pain Q. Once reseated we ordered our foods and coffee replacements. Since I was able to juggle water glass, menu, coffee bowl, etc. I was able to drink while waiting for the "refill" and an excellent goat cheese & green OTD omelet. (Of The Day = OTD) At this time, things got terrifically improved to our mutual multi-state satisfactions. The gluten free stuff was very good and our groups noise added to the overall happy tumult. Individually I felt at one point in the ordering process we were re-filming "Five Easy Pieces" eggs & toast scene re: three soft boiled eggs because this style ovidipi only came in twos. My bro-in-law and crew of gluten avoiders were happily and healthily fed without a "Candid Camera" filmed finale to the coddled egg menue (sic). 0verall we mostly (4 of us) dwell on "Island Time" (retired). So having put in lifetimes of waiting for Good Oh!, time was a minor issue of having a great meal here. We also understand that baffles are coming to soften the noise clamor and experience will shorten service delays. But coffee will stay being served in individual pots & bowls rather than cups thus youll be able to perform a Javanese cafe ceremony when you free your own gluten garden of the soul. Poetic license of gluten free folk. Regards, 21st century certified sesquipedalian aka food critic Armand Gristle protege

Food is good. Service disinterested and often absent. Many visits to meet over laptop session including lunch and prolonged stay with snack and coffees. Who trained these people? Have they ever been to a restaurant let alone simple cafe? Greet. Smile. Offer seat. Offer menu. Pretend you want to be there and so should they. Check on tables once in a while. Barista is allowed to notice nearby abandoned customers and find help or give direct aid. Even the manager is catatonic. Say thank you? Say goodbye? Yikes. Definitely wouldnt pay these prices if not for wifi.

This was my second visit and I was a little hesitant about the Quiche Lorraine as I am not a huge fan of ham. It was DELICIOUS and just like my first experience I felt like I was on cloud nine eating here. The atmosphere is beautiful, the people are friendly and the food is delicious. I also enjoyed an Americano and it was bold, complex and drinking it made me want more. Thank you again!

This place is so relaxing and has great food! They change their specials frequently so make sure to stop in for the latest dish or drink! The almond blend (smoothie) is a great option if you are on the go, but if you plan to dine in, I would suggest a tartine (open faced sandwich), or a hot dish such as the crispy quinoa cake or the quiche lorraine. Delicious!

Ive been to PQs in other cities, this is by far the best! It feels more like a local, indie coffee shop than a chain. Great food, great coffee! Gluten free bread is some of the best, delivered each day from their D.C. bakery. Avocado toast, quiche, granola, egg dishes are all outstanding. And...you can get a beer, glass of wine or mimosa with brunch!

Amazing place. The staff were really friendly. Food was excellent. This is the best breakfast I have had. I recommend the crispy quinoa cake. The desserts were really good too. They are also a Carbon dioxide neutral restaurant, which I thought was pretty cool. Others have to start caring like this as well.

Had a very nice lunch, the interior is beautiful and pleasant. I had the Paris Ham tartine which was good but not anything special. The desert was delicious but pricey. The service was unfortunately not very good. I would still go back, the overall experience was very pleasant.

Great healthy menu. Everything was delicious too. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. The name of this place threw me but I had a great breakfast here and I didnt feel greasy/stuffed when I left which is unusual :-) Greens instead of potatoes but it was good!

The restaurant was clean, atmosphere was good, and the service was great. I had the waffle with berries and cream and it was delicious! The waffle was so good it practically melted in my mouth. I will definitely patronize again, and would definitely recommend.

I absolutely love the avocado toast here. Also the mint tea, and my better half loves the salmon toast. It would be nice if the service were a bit better - it takes a long time to get served and get the check.

The best breakfast in the neighborhood, I especially love the way the drinks are served, in a bowl. The food was good, the coffee was amazing and the desserts are simply out of this world!

Service was good, decent priced items, had a good tea selection, gluten free items were clearly labeled, you can try the hands before you buy them inside. Both inside and outside service.

It may be a chain but its still a healthy place for breakfast or lunch all day. I like the grain and greens combinations but there are mezze-style platters, smoked salmon and omelets.

A typical version of the chain. Reliable for breakfast for ten, something for everyone. A little pricy for what it is but tasty.

Delicious gourmet food. Not cheap, but worth it for a rare treat. Pastries and breakfast foods are amazing, as are the soups.
