Been here 3 times. 3 times is finally enough for me to not come back. While the location itself is nice and quiet and the building layout is unique, the service itself is absolutely terrible. My most recent visit went like this. I call 2-3 hours in advance in an attempt to reserve seating, I tried calling around 4 times, each time I was met with a voice mail. I figured okay...lets just make the trip (45 minutes for me). So me and 3 other people head there and sure enough its packed (to be expected). I told the hostess I tried calling and no one picked up, she said I should have left a voicemail. Okay I guess thats on me..I really doubt they would have checked anyway, whatever. So I ask if outside seating is possible, its not, okay so I take whatever was available. We get seated relatively close to outside which was nice, I jokingly stated they would put us near the bathrooms which is the kind of luck I have, sure enough they did. Had a small laugh, moving on.. So now were sitting there, just sitting. No water, no drinks, no waitress. Maybe 15 minutes roll by and the waitress comes by and asks what we want to drink. We order drinks and wait another 10 minutes before we get them. At this point we didnt even receive the complimentary bread on the table. Sometime during the course of all this, the table next to us fills up and we see them placing orders for their actual meal. Huh? Wheres my order? Hell, wheres my bread? Oh theres our bread..30 minutes in. So we finally give our orders and wait some more, of course during this time frame weve inhaled the bread and are sitting once again. Watching our newfound table neighbors already enjoying their dinners. Im still trying to get more bread....lets not even talk about the appetizers. Who knows how many minutes roll by and the waitress decides we could use more bread. Keep in mind I didnt say she actually brought it, she just mentioned that shes having more bread baked up for us. So now were over the hour mark, the neighboring table is picking dessert and Im getting another bread. I feel like Oliver Twist at this point. Along with this freshly? baked bread comes our appetizers. I dont think they hit the table before I already finished eating them with my lady. No Im not a large person, just a hungry person. 1.5 hours in the meal finally arrives. Luke warm at best. How does it taste? Pretty good. Like I said Ive been here before, strictly for the food, so I knew what I was buying. My friends who havent been here before enjoyed it mostly as well...well except for the bug inside one of their drinks, oh and what I can only describe as "sodium land mines" that located in my friends risotto. like literally field mines of salt...not salty taste, like CRUNCH wtf was that? salt. Some conversing and a full 2.5 hours in were finally done. Now Im trying to pay...I just want to pay for my bill. How can I get out of here? Do I just friggin walk at this point? What was it, another 15 minutes of sitting there? I literally starting stacking plates and cups to make it appoint that our meals were done. Our neighboring table was long gone and probably enjoying a solid bowel movement in the comfort of their own home at this point. Not me though, Im sitting there with a credit card in my hand and my arm fully extended like some Rockem Sockem robot. Now look, Im a pretty patient guy, but this was getting out of hand. The manager must have seen my frustration because I spoke with her at least 3 times. Each time was just "Im sorry for this and that." Which is great, but CAN YOU SWIPE MY CARD? Never again.

This is my first review ever. I am currently waiting on my check and I cant believe that I actually went ahead and dined here! I read from previous reviews that this place looks like it needs a good fixer upper but its way beyond that! The chairs are all filthy, the one my son sat in had numerous stains and holes in it. The table cloth had stains all over. The painting hanging next to me has filth all over. Ok, so we decided to stay anyway because previous reviews Raved about the deliciousness... The food- my boys ordered chicken sandwiches. The chicken was as good as rubber. The salad that came with my meal had a load full of wilted lettuce. The baked potato was inedible- and I think its really hard to mess up a baked potato. My husband ordered chicken strips entree w pasta. He had a few nibbles but would prefer a hot dog from street vendor. My order of haddock fish was probably the best of all 4 meals. But it was nothing more then OK. What a great disappointment. This is the first time reviews failed me- when i saw 11 positive reviews I thought this restaurant was definitely a winner. Makes me think that all the above reviews were written by owner/ staff/ or friends. Bleh.

I herd about the (old) old brooke inn compared to the new so and so revamped old Brooke inn. Wish I wouldve been in the states for the Old, old brooke inn because in my opinion the only thing I like in the new old Brooke in is the interior design. Meals are also super pricy for that area. As far as our meal I had the crab dip with half stale half fresh chips. As entrees I ordered the crab burger which wasnt to bad except for the nasty remoulade reduction sauce. Basically balsamic vinaigrette an thousand islands dressing mixed. My girlfriend had the wood fired brick oven pizza. Let me be the first to tell you that pizza was the greasest Damn thing I ever laid eyes on. Dont get me started on the waitress either. I had to get other waiters/waitresses to get us more water let alone a left over box. All in all, I have tried this place and now I know not to come here. Two thumbs down for me.

Any review of the Olde Brook Inn written before late June of 2014 is not about this place I am a local living about 2 miles from there. I have been a patron for over 20 years of the3 other businesses this brand name. We have eaten at this Olde Brook Inn about once a week since we noticed that it was open. For weeks I have been driving by looking at the numerous trucks from all the trades parked there. When you go inside you will see a level of comfort and attention to detail not found in many restaurants. The food and service are first class. As someone who has eaten all over the world, I put this in my top 10. You will be smiling with a full satisfied feeling when you leave. My advice, get yourself over there and you will become a part of the excellent word-of-mouth about the New Olde Brook Inn ( I know … a terrible play on words, but go anyway)

Could not say enough about how great this restaurant is! Both Service and Food are amazing. They really made an effort to go the extra mile to make sure our party had a great experience. The service is both attentive and accommodating and made for a great night out. Food to try: Chicken Parmesan Pan fried or grilled, topped with marinara and mozzarella cheese, finished in there Wood-Fired oven. Served over linguini pasta , and cooked to perfection! Staff: Everyone from the Hostess to Servers to Managers are all top notch and professional. They know how to make sure you have a wonderful experience and make you feel welcomed. Great place to go for a special occasion and/or a nice night out in Scrsnton PA area. Enjoy!
