I just got back home from Franconia Heritage Restaurants breakfast buffet and all I can say is theres a lot left to be desired. Upon being seated, my son and I waited 15 minutes before a waitress finally came to take our drink order, I ordered coffee and my son ordered hot chocolate. When we first went up to the breakfast buffet I was shocked. The restaurant itself is decorated fairly nice but there area in the back corner of the restaurant where they keep their breakfast buffet looks like it belongs in a prison. The buffet tables were fairly stocked but there were a few areas that were empty and not restocked. The food itself wasnt too bad but there was a lot of room for improvement. My son got pancakes from the buffet that honestly could have been used for hockey pucks they were so hard. The toast they served was cold and rubbery and the bacon was like chewing on a rubber band in both elasticity as well as taste. The eggs, sausage, creamed beef, french toast and hash browns they offered however were all very good. Upon our second trip to the buffet, both my son and I needed refills on our drinks. When we got back to our table from our second trip to the buffet, our old plates were gone but our drinks were still empty. My son and I continued to eat our breakfast and ultimately waited 20 minutes before our waitress Sarah finally came to our table asking if we needed more to drink. Meanwhile, during the time we waited for our drinks, I was watching our waitress. The whole time we were waiting she had only brought drinks to one table and the rest of the time she spent talking with other waitresses and going in and out of the kitchen. By the time she finally did come to our table I had already finished my breakfast but my son asked for a glass of water. I also asked her for the check at this point too. another 10 minutes went by (while I watched her go back to the counter and chat with her waitress friends again) before my son finally got his water. When Sarah did finally bring us the check for our breakfast I noticed that she also overcharged me as well. She had charged my 8 year old son as an adult. I had about enough of this waitress at this point and went to the cashier. After pointing out the error she corrected the mistake which took about $7 off my check for our meal. The cashier never asked how our meal was as cashiers normally do, but I can guess that she could see that I wasnt very happy. I can say I honestly will not be returning to this restaurant as this area has much better food and service to offer.

Lots of gluten free options! Bread and muffins, french toast, creamed dried beef, crepes, dedicated fryer.... Um, yes please! I tried almost everything on the menu. Buffet was one of the best my compadres had ever tried. Beef tenderloin, prime rib, seafood like crab legs... Definitely worth stopping in. Dont let the dated or otherwise unusual atmosphere mislead you. Yes, it is is banquet hall so thats what it looks like. Food doesnt taste like banquet food, trust me. This is a hidden gem. More details and pics to follow soon on GlutenFreeInTheDubC.

So, everyone was telling me this was great! Took my family there for dinner...yes, there were tons of items on the buffett, however, it was tasteless...all frozen foods heated up...plus we had to wait and wait for a waitress, until I finally got up and asked for one...a friend at work said he and his wife went for breakfast, and while they went all the time, he said it was tasteless and they were angry...I suggested perhaps there is a new chef....my neighbor told me she had heard it was going down hill...Heritage, get your act together!

We had a party of four. It was on a Monday at about 4-5pm. The restaurant was practically empty other than a few guests. The waitress was not particularly helpful or friendly and did not ask us how we enjoyed out food. I ordered cheese encrusted whitefish, tasted it and thought it was awful. I did not eat it. Nothing was even noted or said by either the waitress or busboy. I didnt mention it and paid the bill. I wouldnt recommend that whitefish. I will give it another try. Once is hardly enough of a chance.

Im conflicted about this review. My family and I went for breakfast one morning and the food was excellent in the buffet. Lots of great choices and food tasted great. However we just tried the comfort food buffet available sun evenings from 4-7pm and it was horrible... The food was bland or just plain horrible. It didnt help that my two boys were just out of control @ the time but even they didnt want or like any of the food. I would totally go back again for breakfast but nothing else.

Janet does an outstanding job in serving the banquet clientele. Prior to the event, she anticipates your every need and answers every question. She is present at your event, making sure that everything runs smoothly and that your expectations are exceeded. The staff does an excellent job in serving- even when the room is quite full! The food was delicious and the chefs served all those with special dietary needs with excellence. We had a fantastic event and will return!

Eaten here only once before. Lots and lots of food, but the price is representative with what you get. Around $20 a person, but it is an experience. Most of the demographic is older, but it is never empty inside. Heritage was on the way on a long commute for me, so I had also stopped in their huge parking lot a few times to stretch my legs. Staff nice inside and never gave me problems outside :)

Terrible we decided on the buffet only to find out it was over after my family all got a small plate of food. The server never warned us it was almost over when we asked for it nor was it posted when it was over. Then we were asked to pay $75 for almost no food. I could have gotten twice as much food for my family spending $25 at a fast food chain -_-

The Heritage is one of the few restaurant around its location. It is targeted more towards older people bit weve taken our kids many times and they enjoyed it. The buffet is perfect if youre hungry. Dont expect anything fancy but it serves well as a family restaurant. The staff is pleasant.

I go to fund raising banquets there all the time. NWTF, NRA. The food is good and I and my friends always have a great time. I think they even cut these organizations a break on the price to help them out. Thanks Family Heritage Restaurant. Kurt G Preston Heckler Liquid Disposal LLC

Terrible service. Your waitress only came to our table 2 times. To order and give us the check. Waited a good amount of time for service in the first place. Pancakes were cold crusty hockey pucks. Would not recommend this place to anyone, not even my dog.
