Update - we went back and just like always, the food is outstanding. The food is loaded with flavor but isnt overpowering. Service tonight was great and not even close to the last experience. Very happy to have returned and will continue to do so! If the service would have been a fraction as good as the food was, I could give 4 stars. The waitress we had tonight should find a career outside of food service. That said, if this was our first time here, we would have a hard time returning - regardless of how good the food was. However, the food here is always fantastic and well above average quality for most of Montgomery County. Always full of flavor and not over-seasoned. We had the crab ravioli and the pork ragu tonight. Both were way above average. You will not be disappointed with the size of the portions either. Also, the entree prices are very good for this quality as well. The desserts are equally fantastic and will not disappoint. For me, there are two low points (besides our pitifully inattentive waitress tonight). One - the cappuccino is horrible- very inconsistent with what is found in Europe and very watery. Two - this place is a BYO. I will never be able to rate a BYO better than a 3.5-4.0. I feel BYOs are only half a real restaurant and lack a certain ambiance that is found in an Italian restaurant with a deep wine list. All in all, we will return. Hopefully, they get their wait staff sorted out and back on track.

A Valentines Day dinner nightmare! The women who owns this restaurant has an exceptionally bad attitude and thinks this small town restaurant is worth peoples wait, but waiting an hour after your reservation that you made a week in advance is unacceptable to me in such an industry. Needless to say, we waited, but only to walk out in an even shorter amount of time than we were waiting to be seated... Which was after our own bottle of wine that we brought ourselves was spilled on my girlfriend and her water glass was spilled on our uncooked loaf of bread, and at two separate visits no less, by our incompetent waitress. When the pasta finally came out raw, we had both had enough and simply left. I will never be returning there again, because according to the woman/owner/manager, ants on the table are acceptable because the restaurant is located in the suburbs and this type of thing is common around the country side. I think not. The only good thing I can say without regret is that it seems as though they have a decent kitchen staff and a chef that knows what they are doing, because when the orders arent rushed to the tables, the authentic(ish) Italian food isnt half bad.

I typically only write reviews for HORRIBLE or EXTRAORDINARY service, however this time is a little different. My daughter and I visited Carusos for dinner. Our waitress Barbara was delightful along with the rest of the staff. My food was average (I ordered mussels & stuffed shells), my daughter had the Lasagna which was overcooked, mushy, and overall disgusting. I dont complain when I dislike things, I just dont oder it again so needless to say I still paid for the Lasagna with no complaints. My biggest gripe with Carusos & why I will never return is the owners wife. She made it her business to speak to every table except mine & gave me and my 9yr old daughter a continuos look of disgust throughout our dinner. I was dressed appropriately, casual (coming from a kids sporting event) and couldnt understand the negative surveillance from this woman. The only thing different from me and the other patrons was the color of my skin & I NEVER EVER PLAY THE RACE CARD! But honestly that is the only thing I can come up with. She even came out & watched me pull off. Only word that comes to mind is RACIST when it comes to Carusos & thats sad cause one apple spoiled the bunch!

Yes, yes, a hundred times yes. This place warmed my heart. My friend and I sat facing the kitchen and everyone was so friendly. We got to talk to chefs a bit and both them and our server were wonderful. Even with it being incredibly busy everyone was relaxed, professional and even had fun with each other. Great atmosphere and prices were true to what you get with most plates being under $20 for high quality. We got the sheeps milk ricotta app, pork ragu pasta, and the star of the night... the octopus. The ricotta app was delicious (duh) and a perfect amount. Pork ragu was not the most spectacular. The octopus I could eat every day for a year and still be happy having it that much. It came sliced up in this flavorful lemony mediterranean salad and a tasty white bean puree. The presentation and portion was great on this and the octopus was cooked perfectly. Everything else that was going out of the kitchen looked wonderful and I cant wait to come back here sometime. Seemed like an ideal date spot.

A group of 7 of us went on a Sat. night, we had reservations. We waited almost a 1/2hr to be seated. We were "crammed" into a table downstairs - there was no room to move. If a fire marshal had shown up, believe me they would have been cited. We ordered several appetizers & they were all good. There was three of us that received our salads with a surprise - we cut & bit into what looked like a paper towel! The waitress promptly took care of returning the salads & ordering replacements (which only one of us would eat). In the meantime one of the owners did come to visit our table - however not once did they apologize, they just kept explaining how they dont cut up the lettuce it comes to them that way. When we got the bill they charged us full price. I dont believe any of us will return. The dinners were good, but everyone was inspecting every bite. But I do want to re-iterate our waitress was incredible throughout the whole situation - she seemed to care more than the owners.

Caruso’s is one of our favorite restaurants; this Italian bistro delights you with a unique ambiance. The service is top notch. It should be noted this is BYOB and have impressed me with their knowledge of the correct food pairings to match what I have brought in. On one recent visit, I had the veal with prosciutto and basil in a brown vodka sauce. Each bite was full of flavor I enjoyed very much. Our normal appetizer here is a lightly breaded calamari served with a red marinara sauce on the side is truly the best calamari I have had. Other visits they have delighted us with their specials, for us this is our “goto” place.

I had not been in this restaurant for 8 years and I am glad we decided to stop by again a couple of weeks ago. We went back there for Sunday lunch since then given the great experience we had: - receptionist was smiling - service was prompt and professional - set-up was original and pretty - food was awesome - price was more than acceptable for the quality of the food we got - portions were great. so good that we had no room to try the yummy deserts they offer. My wife and I had sandwiches and our kids got waffles and French toasts that they loved.
