Not a great experience. Too loud. Service was poor. Entree was good. Sides didnt taste right. Wait staff practically running from table to table and it wasnt that busy. No refills. Yelling out platters at table to see who got what. Stuff kept getting dropped throughout the dining room adding to noise level. Floors,tables,menus, sticky. Salad came with stale croutons and a teaspoon of salad dressing that was so thick it would pass the dairy queen upside down test. Charged extra for cheese on salad without saying there was a charge. Will not be a return customer.

YUCK!!! If these are the best wings in Berks, then I need to get out of here ASAP! Horrible -- dry, very little sauce (should be enough sauce to pool up a little at the bottom, though not swimming in it), no kick to the "cajun" (cajun is supposed to be spicy right?). Some nasty "hollondaise maybe?" sauce was sprayed on the Garlic Parm ones (wth?) . Also, no good beers at the bar, unless you want a Bud/MGD/Coors.. No local craft Beers = no business from me! get a clue guys! cant believe people rave about this rat hole.

Used to be wonderful. I took my family there every Friday for dinner for years. Then something changed. The menu got smaller and the ingredients got cheaper. I would have thought they were extremely profitable before, and I dont understand the "race to mediocre". I was most disappointed by the seafood chowder. Now it has mooshy imitation crab instead of the good stuff. I have tried the Pike a couple of times in the last year, only to be repeatedly let down. I wont go anymore. Its a shame.

I called the pike cafe for a pick up order, I didnt have a credit card to put on file but was told If we come right now the cook would have our order and would make it soon as we got there. So we race all the way to the pike cafe just to be told they were not going to make my order because I didnt call with a credit card, mind you it only took me 3 mins from the time I hung up the phone to get there and they would not make my order even though I was told to come...smh

8/4/15 Wings wer hard as they were the last time I ate there. The prices are a bit high for the little bit of food they give you and the small wings. On top of the bad food they made us pay the waitress an 18% tip which came to $9 dollars extra on our bill. Its like they are getting the customer twice. Once with you paying for food with them and saving them money so they dont have to pay their waitress a decent rate so they take it out of US!

The Pike is a bright spot in the city. Food is delicious thanks to Gary, an outstanding chef! Staff and owner are the best - friendly and efficient. We have eaten there there every week for years with our friends and are always pleased with the variety and quality of the food. Parking is plentiful. The Pike is a real gem!!!!! Love the stuffed camerones and chicken marsala!!!!! Lunch is a treat, too!

I was from out of town and called 3 other restaurants to find a place that was carrying a college basketball game and only the Pike had it. I got an extra bonus by eating one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. Neighborhood is a little rough, so make sure you know your way there, but they have a very well lit parking lot so that helps you feel safe once you are there.

The Pike is the best place to go in the city if you are looking for great food and excellent service. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is top notch. The location is not too bad. It is located on the Northern side of Reading where there is less crime as compared to other parts of the city. This is definetely one of my favorite hot spots!

Ive been going there since it was smaller than a congressmans walk-in humidor and it has been great through all of its incarnations. The staff is very pleasant, the food is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and there is no better place to be on a football Sunday afternoon. If you havent ever been to The Pike, you havent really ever been to Reading.

Wings sucked. They were SMALL, OVER COOKED and DRY Also when i asked for a cup of there sauce they charged me and extra. 50 cents. When they give you celery and carrots with the wings they give you ONE EACH no JOKE. Also the beer was slightly warm. THE one thing good was the service

Excellent food! Perfectly sized portions. My only gripes were that my fries werent very hot and that the "with pickle" statement was one pickle chip (coin size), but when I asked for some more, the waitress cheerfully brought me some more. I would definitely recommend this place!

My friend was served the wrong wine (a white, she ordered a red), and fish tacos when shed ordered shrimp tacos. The waitress was not nice. The atmosphere did feel very "Reading PA" though. So at least they nailed something.
