I personally was not happy. I did not even eat the food. I ordered boneless spare ribs with veggie fried rice. Ive had this platter at other locations but decided to try Great China. The food didnt even smell right. The meat was light red and tasted extremely chewy. It doesnt look anything like the boneless spare ribs Iv got from any place in my life. The veggie fried rice taste horrible. It taste like it was cooked with dirty oil or something. It was not fresh at all. I have gotten a stomach ache from this food. I recommend you order from Wonderful Chinese Restaurant. Their food Is always fresh and their customer service is much better. Although pricier, youll be satisfied.

Tried it off and on through what I think were several owners and gave up. This past week my wife got take out and it was excellent. We just went back today. The food is very good and consistent. We tried Chicken with Broccoli, Shrimp with Broccoli, MooSho Shimp, Hot and Sour Soup and basically the best we have had in Berks. There is a guy with grey hair cooking. Perhaps he is the key. Finally decent Chinese food in the area. Hope it stays this way.

I work down in the KOP area. Chinese food down there is about 4-5 times as expensive as what you get at Great China, and still not as good. I wont even enter a rant on Wegmans and their scheme. They offer a great deal, and their food is amazing. Ive never once had a problem with anything theyve done. Ive only had to wait for food when I come in and order right then and there. I will continue to support this local business until Im gone.

We moved from this area in June of 2009. The only restaurant that we will miss is this one. Phone in an order and it is ready when they say it will be. Generous portions and authentic chinese food. Our adopted daughter is from China and we spent a month there eating local food, this is like being there again. Priced well and friendly.

Best Chinese take out in the area hands down. General Tsos is the best I ever had and I grew up in NY. Pork fried rice is just as amazing.
