This is a very accessible location in Chestnut Hill, with parking right nearby. The design of the restaurant is pleasing. And for an enclosed space, it really doesnt get that loud. Our party of 5 was seated promptly at our reservation time, although we arrived early and had a drink at the bar. The menu is ample but not overwhelming, and all the food was excellent. Even the normal French staples - like escargot - were prepared very well. Theres a lot of places that cant get those right. Our server was pleasant, and the right balance of formal and casual. He was experienced in the menu and helpful as we ordered. Overall I had an excellent time except one thing. The bar tender refused to let us carryover our bar tab to the table. When we quietly questioned the hostess about this, a manager standing nearby actually said it would be ok, but the bartender still didnt do it. Additionally he added a couple extra drinks onto the ticket! I noticed this and asked him to correct it, but I was astounded that he tried to pull a fast one like this. I would undoubtedly return for the food, but just be wary about that one experience.

My wife and I frequent this bourgeois night spot in Chestnut Hill pretty frequently. We like to sit at the bar and be served by Justin, he has a mental dictionary of cocktails and years of expertise. Their selection of spirits is pretty good but the beer selection is pretty lackluster, it is a French bistro though so fair enough. The food at Paris is pretty exceptional across the board and Chef Al is a wizard! I command you to get the almond cake for dessert...just kidding but it is amazing! We love Paris and have made it a staple in our rotation of dinner spots. Go early for the Monday "Buck A Shuck" they almost always sell out. The Jazz cafe downstairs has live music several nights a week and is swanky as F, definitely a great night spot.

Love, Love, Love this adorable, different bistro. My boyfriend and I are all about trying new and different places and this bistro is one of the best new restaurants weve tried. The service is great the vibe is fantastic. We both have never had French food. We had brunch and just left loved it. I had a cucumber mint soda that is to die for. I had a fancy ham and cheese sandwich that if I try to spell I will totally muck it up.... lol It was delish! We cant wait to back for dinner. We love the romantic vibe too . They also had great music as well not loud at all just a simple acoustic guitar musician it was very delightful

My wife and I had brunch 4/24. It was wonderful - live soft 12 string guitar playing easy listening music, wonderful attentive service - coffee and water refills as needed and without asking, perfectly timed food service of the three course Prix fixe brunch, and every item of our 6 different items - delicious. Anyone complaining about value must regularly dine at the Golden Arches. Having been to Paris twice, I have to say, the décor, ambience and atmosphere did make us feel right back there, without the French language. Definitely will return.

Went here for Easter Brunch. Pre-Fix Menu offered a wide range of options. Went with the Smoked Salmon as a starter, Eggs Benedict, and finished it off with Chocolate Mousse. The food was exceptional. The poached eggs in the Benedict were perfectly done. The chocolate Mousse was what you would expect from a fine french patisserie. Chris, our server was one of the best among the restaurants in Chestnut Hill and Mainline where I frequent. The Chef/Owner also made his rounds. Great restaurant overall and would highly recommend.

We ate here on 5/6/2014 the food was actually very good and perfectly favored. I ordered the roast chicken my little one ordered the steak. Reason for my 2 star.. my server treated me and my 10yr old very poorly he did not pay attention to us like he did his other customer he pretty much was annoyed and bother that he had to serve us. The food was very good but unfortunately the server was so bad we will not return. Densie

Duck, entree, very salty; every piece tastes like salt; chicken was overcooked and sadly sat in a pool of blanched vegetables. However, brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly, and only a hint of salt coming out from the touch of generous bacon. Oysters are well prepared, except the ice cubes melted faster than usual. Chocolate mouse is creamy and well flavored.

Came here for dinner with my parents, teenage brothers, and boyfriend. We sat in the downstairs lounge next to the stage during one of the jazz shows, and while we couldnt talk much while the band was playing, we loved every minute of it--the atmosphere, the food, the music, the service. It was such an unexpected evening, but we were very pleased.

Service is spectacular here, been half a dozen times over last few months, price is on the higher side but the chef knows his cuisine. I have yet to try the jazz room but on the short list of to dos. Menu is relatively short and I personally would love to see them change it up a little, but what they do they do to perfection.

One of the best places for a great dinner in the Mt.Airy/Chestnut Hill area. Impeccable service. Good selection of wine. And they have jazz music in the their basement area on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You can dine there too. Very European feel to it and downstairs too. Highly recommend!

The music was wonderful, and at least a few members of the staff were friendly. However the drinks were incredibly watered down and the prices were ghastly. My party and I were very disappointed. Perhaps anyone who goes here for their first time should lower any expectations.

Very little duck in the duck dinner. Not much wine in a 12 dollar glass of wine that was recommended by the waiter. The jazz cafe, expected to be in and out in and out in about an hour or so for the next sitting. The novelty of place wears off quickly.

This place is always Fabulous. Live music Thursday through Sundays with world-renowned acts. Classic French fare with a special culinary tour of France every Wednesday. This is the place that transports you to the gilded age of France and beyond.

Ive eaten there every chance I get. Every dining experience I have had at the Paris Bistro has been outstanding and surpassed the last experience. My only complaint would be that they arent open for breakfast and lunch!

First rate food for lunch and dinner both and a friendly atmosphere. The service was excellent. There is a jazz cafe downstairs for those so inclined. A classic French bistro transplanted into Philadelphia.
