After years of putting up with the crap (or worse) that Friendlys or Perkins dished up, theres finally a decent eatery at Cottman and the Boulevard. A friend told me about the change of ownership a while back and Ive eaten here several times. Over the course of the year or so theyve been here, the quality of theyre food has remained high. On the plus side, the restaurant was completely redone and actually has a little eye appeal, the menu is a bit more extensive than a standard diners (IMNSHO), the prices are reasonable or better, and, most amazingly, the wait staff is actually quite pleasant. They dont abide by strict "turf" assignments. Any server who happens to be walking by will be happy to help you if your assigned server isnt available. At least, thats been my experience. I dont now about you, but I get really annoyed when I cant get my servers attention, catch the eye of another one, only to be told, "let me get your server for you". Im sure every one of us has experienced that at one time or another. Another good sign is that one or more of the owners is usually on the floor supervising the staff or taking care of their customers directly. The only thing I can find fault with is the parking lot. Spaces close to the entrance, alongside the building, are limited and if you come at a busy time, youll. most likely, have to park in the much larger area in the back. Not only can it be a hike, but it puts your car in closer proximity to those of the riff-raff eating next door at the "tarnished" yellow arches. But, to be fair, the Four Seasons didnt design the layout of the building and parking lot, they inherited it. The Four Seasons is also well served by six SEPTA bus routes, four on Roosevelt Boulevard and two on Cottman Avenue One of the things I frequently get here is their $5.95 unlimited salad bar lunch special that is offered until 1400 weekdays. The staff does a better than average job of making sure that all of the bowls of salad fixings are kept fresh and full. What can I tell you, I like veggies. So, if you are looking for elegant dining, this is not the place to go. But, if youre looking for a nice, clean, local place that will serve up a good meal in a nice environment that wont break the bank, and do it with a smile, I would give the Four Seasons Diner a definite "thumbs up" without reservations (which I dont know if they take)..

Although this place has a cozy feel when you first walk in. As you sit down and open your menu you easily become exhausted with the barrage of mixed modern/Italian/Family oriented/police-friendly/seniors welcomed decorations around the place. The diner is dim lit making it hard to see the menu. And they have a salad bar which quickly became disgusting when an older gentlemen did not grab a new plate and refilled his old plate tapping the salad bar utensil onto it to make sure he got every morsel of tuna salad or chicken salad on to his plate. I watched this gentlemen do this routine with every option he chose from the salad bar. The serve was very polite and took our order promptly. And our food came quickly and although the food was delicious it could have been served on less plates. A few times other serves came to our table with order that were not ours appearing to be lost on what table order what. All in all the service was polite the food was delicious ( I did not have any salad) and prices were reasonable. I suggest to anyone that goes to this diner. Just sit, eat, pay, leave. You will find no thrills on the menu here just some good standard food to fill your belly

Really great diner! In recent years, Ive been going here more and more, and each time I seem to be more and more pleased with my meal. The food is excellent diner food. A TON of options. Very flavorful! Just straight up delicious stuff. Cant describe it any other way. Some items can be a bit pricey for diner food, but it usually comes with lots included (awesome rolls, soup, salad bar, sides, dessert, etc.) The portions are big, and theres usually plenty to take home for another meal! The staff is always warm, friendly, and upbeat. They dont mind when I ask a million questions (and believe me - I ask A MILLION questions... the bigger the menu, the more questions I ask, and this menu is HUGE!) The waiters are also very honest about what they like and dont like, which I totally appreciate! Honestly is always a plus when dealing with customers at any type of business! Anyway, if you like diners, this one is sure to please. There are so many diners in NE Philly, and they are not all created equally! In my opinion, this is one of the best Ive been to. (And I was born and raised in NE Philly, so Ive been doing the diner thing my whole life...) I highly recommend this one!

I am not usually the type to complain or send food back but the experience I had on 6/23 ended up being a nightmare. The waiter was having a bad day as I could tell by his face that he wasnt all there, because of this he was very forgetful with our order and come back several times to confirm it. Normally that is not a problem but to then still mess it up is a problem. After waiting about 20 mins for the waiter to return it was just too late to get the problem resolved so I requested them to just take it and remove it from my bill. They were understanding and offered a dessert to resolve the problem. When it came to the bill there was an $8 charge for the salad that came with the meal. I thought that was pretty high but I didnt want to fight about it so I just paid. That alone was a bad night out but not worthy of a 1 star or a negative review. It wasnt until I decided to eat the dessert (chocolate covered strawberries) that was given to us. It was then that I bit into a strawberry that ended up being rotten. After inspection, I noticed the other three had mold. This used to love this place, but after yesterday I dont believe that I could ever go back.

I will never step foot in this dump again. Worst customer service EVER! Came in about 12:30 midnight for takeout, but tried to call my order in first. Called several times and no one ever answered, just went to voice mail each time. I mentioned this to the man at the front register, who appeared to be the manager, only to make him aware of the phone problem. When I did, he snapped and began to yell at me and say, "Well we have two lines, you shouldve called the other one" I explained that I did and that that is no way to speak to a customer spending money in your restaurant. He then got even more irate and raised his voice again saying, "Well so what, thats your problem" all while be dismissive and condescending. The server waiting to take my order witnessed the entire interaction and looked embarrassed. I turned to leave and said I refuse to spend my money in here after being spoken to and treated this way. With that he said "Good, so what, whatever". He was very unprofessional and very rude and nasty. He did not respect or appreciate me as a customer, I will never go back
