Quite good! I considered a 5 star review but a few small points made them fall shy. I called about a week in advance for a "reservation". They told me on the phone that they dont do reservations. I said it was for a party of 10, they quickly reconsidered & made a reservation. Of course, when I showed up the following Friday night, they had no record of my reservation & reminded me that they dont take reservations. :( Either way, within 15 minutes or so at the bar, they set my party up with a nice large table in the back. The service was relatively consistent. My friends were all well taken care of, except for 1 who seemed to fall off the servers radar every round. The food was delicious! Very creative menu, we had the feta stuffed beet raviolis as an appetizer, & the fried pickles, both were outstanding. Though the beets were described a bit fancier than they actually tasted. I had the Chicken & Waffles slathered in BBQ Sauce (which was unique for Chicken & Waffles).. not the best presentation of C&W Ive had but still damn good. We stayed for hours & rocked this big table in the back most of the night with consistently decent service & overall a really good time. I will definitely go back here, & recommend it to friends.

Wanted to give myself some time to write a rational review... May 13th - Went here after Urban Axes. Told table would be 15-20 minutes around 9pm in the evening. Waited at bar for an hour and 15 before we made our own table (the place was nearly empty, but the only 6+ person table wasnt leaving). We did this, ordered food, and within 2 minutes were passive aggressively told by the night manager (5 10", blonde hair, about 230lbs) they would have done this if we asked. Long story short, he made us feel very awkward and half of our party walked out. We went to settle our tab after 15 more minutes (food still hadnt shown up) and were told that we had to pay for everything, including the food that wasnt ready. If we refused he would call the police... 20 minutes later after one of my friends caved we were permitted to leave the premises.. Will not be back, and will actively discourage anyone from going here in the future. Would be happy to change my review after speaking with the owner, but cannot recommend this place after the way we were treated.

When we entered, people were sitting on the patio in the hot weather, some with their dogs. So if the weathers nice, you know a place you can enjoy a meal and have your four-legged friend be welcome too. We ate inside, where it was nice, clean and cool, albeit a bit dark, and immediately a waitress smiled at us and asked if she could help us. Our waiter was excellent and his recommendations, the chicken sandwich that I ended up getting, was spot on (The bread was thick, crunchy crust and nice and soft, the chicken nice and flavorful but not overbearing). I will warn you though--come hungry. The sandwiches are a decent size, served with a salad or fries (theyre a mix of sweet potato fries and normal yellow potatoes), so you will be pretty full, especially if you get an appetizer (try the wings, I was surprised they tasted good with the brussel sprouts!).

This place is probably better than 2 stars, but I had a 2 star experience. The red beans and rice wasnt enjoyable, kind of a cross between refried beans and bean soup consistency wise. The rice was prepared properly though. The spice and consistency were just not what I expected from having had this dish in the past. The seasoning was sort of one note and didnt impart any of the nuanced flavors co-mingling that I usually enjoy about this dish. I asked for a side of bacon, and found it unceremoniously thrown into the bean mixture, which did not contain any of the andouille sausage mentioned in the menu. I suspect a misunderstanding occurred with our server regarding the side of bacon. Otherwise chill brunch.

Wonderful assortment of food. I had a delicious Reuben sandwich with an excellent salad (I opted for the sandwichs salad because I could share fries with three friends at my table. I recommend doing the same for the fries are great too). They have a cauliflower salad dish that looked amazing, next time Im in town Ill get that. Oh, and they compost their food scraps too, which I applaud for they know and do the right thing when it comes to people and food. The staff is friendly and attentive. Great for a group of 5 or more for lunch.

I LOVE this Restaurant! Our server was a sweetheart; patient and very attentive. The Chicken and cornbread waffle with maple barbeque syrup was filling and delicious! The 2 palm sized lump crab cakes with asparagus were tender and flavorful. Ive also had the eggplant "lasagna" which was extra cheesy and tasty. They have a good selection of beers to choose from. outdoor seating. Cool artwork adorning all of the walls. Lots of Vegetarian options also.

This is probably the only place in the world I will choose Vegetarian options over meat options, but their veg and vegan options are so good. The seitan wings are so crispy, and the vegan cheesesteak was one of the best things I ate that night. They also have a great bar, with a great beer selection, and you cant beat their happy hour prices (which include half off wings). I would definitely recommend the trip out to Fishtown to eat here

They have some decent cocktails and interesting looking vegan products. Im not sure they know how to cook meat though. Last time I had something with ground beef ordered medium and it was purple inside, looked like the outside was seared and the inside was raw. Thatd be OK for filet ordered raw but ground beef is a different story. If the health inspectors saw this, itd be a big problem.

Great place. I went for lunch on a Monday (MLK day) and it was not crowded, but not empty. The beer selection is fantastic, something for everyone, including beer aficionados. I had the chicken and waffles, which were awesome. I would definitely get them again. I also tried the fried green tomato poboy which was different, and really good also. I will return next time I am in the area.

Not a huge menu but what they have caters to every diet; fresh and yummy. Good service and drinks. Best veggie wings and Seitan Reubens around! The previous review about it feeling like home is dead on, always in the mood for some cedar point (also right next to loco pez if youre looking to follow up your dinner with awesome margaritas and happy hour).

Best food Ive had in Fishtown (pretty competitive), beautiful bar & deck, and a staff that is genuinely invested in the community. In particular the faux meat options on the menu-- seitan wings and tempeh Reuben, are the best Ive had ever. Ill the other food Ive tried there-- empanadas, chicken & waffles, really outstanding. GET THE FRIED PICKLES.

Very chill environment with a great beer selection and really good food. Able to accommodate large groups of people. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and the beer, especially when it came to dietary restrictions. Their "Drunk & Cheesy" nights are top notch.
