I have always loved Au Bon Pain as a cafe. Because I have loved it so much, I decided to try out their catering menu for an important breakfast meeting at my office. I used one of the center city Philadelphia locations to cater. It was truly an abomination. The coffee and the OJ were fine, I suppose, but you cant really screw that up. The fruit was wilted and tasted horrible. The bagels were soggy. The pastries were smushed. Everything about the display and taste of the food was just awful. Not to mention the price was almost $12/person, and there was very little food delivered. I truly hope the cafe has not gone down hill as well. Stay away from the catering menu.

Rumored to be a training ABP for their employees, this Au Bon Pain is among the worst Ive seen. Cashier attitude is horrible, as well as the staff in general. The soups are never hot enough, the prices are inflated to the extreme. I know that its in Huntsman Hall of the Wharton School, but 3.95 for a small soup is ridiculous. Avoid if you can.

Got a cup of soup. Waited in line as the only cashier slowly walked back to the register. Got charged almost $6 for it!!! Paid for it because I was hungry and frustrated. Baffled how they could charge $6 for BEAN SOUP THATS BEEN SITTING ALL DAY. Shameful. Its not even good--pretty flavorless.

This is one of the worse au bon pain I ever visited. You can easily get there and find no coffee at all. Most of the time they dont have enough employees working so you have to wait for anything you need. Dont talk to manager cause it wont help at all.

Great location but the lines are long and they sell out of pastries and other food items quickly because its so busy and surrounded by several hospitals and research buildings. I recommend coming slightly before noon if you want a good seat during lunch.

I wish Au Bon Pain would make ordering process easier and intuitive. License Wawas technology/methodology or something. Makes ordering sandwiches annoying.

Overpriced. Food is decent though. Service is minimal. But really what service do you need? Order/gather, pay, sit, eat, leave.

Nice place to have lunch or even meet with friends. Plenty of space. The staff is not so friendly though.
