I had heard about the Railroad House – word of mouth has made its way, however Marietta is not really very close to travel there just for dinner. So feeling adventurous last Saturday we happened out for the day – and found ourselves within striking distance of Marietta. The Railroad house is beautiful, in an old restored - quaint hotel along the railroad tracks along Front St. Everything from start to finish was warm and wonderful, friendly greeted and served. I am often suspect of themed décor, it often comes off as kitschy or tacky – getting a décor right is a fine art. You want something that is of interest and perhaps a theme and that is also warm and inviting. Sometimes it can just be the slightest things that throw it off, and then it is just uncomfortable. The railroad house gets it right, yes it’s a railroad theme, but it’s somewhat muted. The building is old and full of character – and they let that character shine through. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out – or a family celebration. It is really very interesting inside and out – with some lovely garden seating under the lights in the summer evenings. The food here was impeccable – keep in mind this was a single visit and we are probably not to return for some while, due to logistics. There were ample 1st rate artisan made craft beers along with some very creative and delicious house made specialty cocktails. Came here with the girlfriend and her 2 children, and all can be discerning eaters. We started with the crab dip with pork belly and it was devoured with voracity – I wasn’t sure how the pork belly was going to play with crab and cheese – but I found it delightful! I am not going to do a play by play on each of the meals – however I can say they were artfully crafted with care by someone with the utmost respect for food, the customer and their craft. All of our meals were stunning, delicious and wonderful! – we really had a wonderful time here. Such a wonderful place and the food! – plus the history, we will be looking for excuses to return here again, albeit it won’t be soon because of the distance – but we will figure out a way to return before to long

The good: Industrial/western themed bar and a railroad inspired dining area. Some very cool wrought iron and lighting details. This place is in the details. Nice outdoor patio in chill downtown Marietta with a single Norfolk Southern trail full of coal rolling by within view. The ok: Service was fair, if a bit pushy on drink sales and our server mysteriously disappeared after bringing our entrees and checking in once. Food was ok but the meat cut was atypically quite fatty and nothing stood out as a favorite. Presentation was great, but flavor was not a big plus. Fresh local veggies! IMO, an above average bar, that was a fun spot to try once. Give it a chance if you need to get lit.

My sister in law had her wedding here. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Followed by a great dinner. The place itself is really nice and interesting. The outdoor space is really pretty, with flowers and a garden. And it has a nice patio. All the food was delicious, Salmon especially, the waiter that took care of us was the best! Out of town family stayed in the inn upstairs and really loved it. Small rooms but really clean and comfortable. Overall experience was

We had my daughters bridal shower for about 30 people on the patio. Everyone raved over the food. They were very flexible and accommodating with choosing and adapting a menu to serve buffet style. They created a menu of mimosas and served them as people requested them. The two waiters were friendly and attentive. This was at the end of May, so the gardens were so pretty and added to the rustic, casual feel we wanted. As Joey promised, everything went flawlessly.

We love The Railroad House Inn. Their food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. We especially enjoy Perry Street Cellar. The bartender is always pleasant and knows his beer! The food is spot on regardless of whether you are on the main dining level or downstairs. This is definitely a go to place for us and we have introduced many people to it as well!

Attended Sunday brunch, they where rather busy however the staff was very attentive and made us feel like we where the only people there. The food was fantastic, with bold flavors. The craft beer and cider selection was impressive with beers from across the country. The staff was knowledgeable in the beers they had and their favor profiles.

5 star food and great service! Phenomenal selection of beers from around the world. The owner frequently walks around and makes recommendations on everything with an obvious passion and knowledge of what hey purveys. A little pricey but worth the money for the quality. Fantastic use of seasonal items. Definitely a real chef in the kitchen.

Drinks were fantastic! My drink was very strong and my Husbands shot was huge! Was not expecting this to just be a sandwich with chips and pickles kind place. But, it is. I think this will be a great watering hole. Two bars with one being outside with trains passing by on occasions. We really had a great evening here

We had drinks and apps in the cellar bar. The service and atmosphere were great! Our bartender was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had small plates and the food was just OK. We were there during happy hour so it was on special. I probably would have been disappointed had we paid full price.

This restaurant is beautiful, full of history and the food is outstanding. With that being said, it is way overpriced for the portions that you get. While the waiter informed that we will be served bottled water; they dont serve tap water there, we didnt expect to be charged $6.00 a bottle.

Met some people in the cellar of the railroad house inn for dinner and drinks. Ive never had a bad experience with food or beer. The only possible negative is it can be a little difficult to get service when the place is packed, but thats understandable.

Ive only been in the downstairs cellar bar area. Enjoyable space with a nice selection of on tap beers. Friendly atmosphere. Pictures of train wrecks in the mens restroom. They sometimes have a great open mic comedy show.

Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere. Hosted my wifes 40th here with over 80 guests and it was spectacular. Also had dinner many times, along with several beer releases, and it is always great!

Had the outstanding railroad burger downstairs at Perry St. Cellar. Also the best craft beer selection in the area. Definitely some drink choices you dont see anywhere else in the area.

Made Easter reservations the day of. So many flies we could hardly enjoy any of our pricey small plates. Still kinda hungry when I left. Food was tasty though and no one got sick.

Ate downstairs at the Perry Street Cellar. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and great food. Menu had a little bit for everyone. Prices were reasonable. We will be going back.
