Mi Pais is a GAME CHANGER. This is no ordinary Latin American food! From the warm and welcoming atmosphere you can feel when you enter, to the kindest staff who treat their customers like family members, to the most brilliant Latin American food I have ever had in this is area- Mi Pais is SUPREME. My personal favorite is the "Bandeja Mi Pais" (Columbian Bacon, Chorizo, Plantains, Carne Asada, Beans n Rice, with a medium Egg on top). I could live off the empanadas everyday for the rest of my life, hands down. Mi Pais is the only name I can ever even think of anymore for my Latin American cuisine "fix." Its the only place I know to recommend to my friends and family true, traditional Columbian/Latin American cuisine! If you havent at least stopped in to try an empanada (my personal favorites are the Argentinian and the Hawaiian ones), then you are NOT LIVIN! So why are you still reading this?? GO TO MI PAIS! ¡¡¡AHORITA!!!

With Juan Carlos, Nidia, Sebastian and the WHOLE clan, its hard not to feel like youre part of the family. The most delicious food and a warm hug to go with it all. Sunday dinner feels like were sitting around the family table with all of them. The empanadas rock, but even better is the Ajiaco (yeah, got me with the spelling there) Nidias signature chicken stew. Everythings a specialty here and they bend over backwards to make you feel more than welcome. Rotisserie chicken here with all the sides . . . and finish it off with the Salada de Frutas. Nidia even makes homemade ginormous chocolate covered marshmallows. I could go on, but youll have to go and find out for yourself. Rated #13 in the Philadelphia Business Journals list of most sought after restaurants on Yelp!

The place is amazing. I had empanadas, milanesa de pollo, chicharrones (Colombian bacon), and platanos fritos. Everything was amazing and reminded me of my time traveling through South America. The staff is super friendly and very welcoming of both newcomers and people looking for an opportunity to keep up on their Spanish in the USA. They also have a small selection of groceries if there is anything in particular you are looking for. I definitely will return - multiple times.

My whole family loves this place! They treat you like family, and the food is outstanding. We try to get here at least once per month. The empanadas are outstanding (they make the cheese ones fresh when you order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes). The "bandeja mi pais" is meant for 2 and could feed 3. I love the "crazy plantains" as well. My husband is a fan of their soups. Probably not the best stop for vegetarians or those on weight loss diets!

Ive only been to Mi Pais once, but the food was outstanding. I asked who I believe was the owner for his recommendation. The food he picked out was quite tasty. They offered three salsas at the table. I especially liked the Habanero pepper one, which was the most spicy. It was spicy enough to have a good amount of heat, but not so much that it hid the flavor of the food. Id absolutely go back if in the area again.

I was there everyday last weekend. Friday we had dinner, a whole fry fish with rice, salad and fried yuca, and I had shrimp ceviche with patacones. On saturday morning I went for the bakery products, empanadas & pandebono (baked cheese bread) and on Sunday we got my birthday cake, the most amazing flan and cake!! Cant wait to go back. The service is also amazing! the owners are always there taking care of every detail.

Friendly owners, nicest family youll meet. True home cooked goodness. My favorite dish is Patacones Locos, or crazy plantains with shredded chicken. Absolutely my favorite dish. The beef Columbian empenadas are a great start. The three sauces are good, I always go for the hot though. I highly recommend you have a meal here. It will become a regular stop for you.

I have been a client of Mi Pais since 2009, they are excellent and the food is so yum...make sure you order some empanadas and their delicious green topper for it is soo good...You will feel like you are actually in South America when you visit them, so friendly and they make you feel like home. Very friendly staff, very clean place. Light and casual ambience. I ordered kabob platter and empanada. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Quality food made with passion! I will definitely be back again. I look forward to bringing my family here for dinner soon

In town for a wedding. Looking for a local lunch spot. Everything was awesome. Chorizo appetizer stole the show. Beef empanadas on point. Quarter chicken is ridiculous. Medium and hot sauces made this one of the best meals Ive had in a while. Wish I lived closer

Like the food, like the people, like the atmosphere! Great informal place for breakfast, lunch or dinner and a little grocery shopping. Ive been 5 or 6 times and am going back tonight with some friends. Try it, youll like it!

These are not typical empanadas that you would experience in south america or mexico, but they are tasty enough. The restaurant serves them as appetizers. Everything has good flavor. Perhaps a little pricey for what you get
