OK...my family and I eat Chinese or Japanese food about once a week. We are from a large city, so there are 100s of options for Asian food, from "bad" to "amazing". Maybe thats a factor but I cant see how China Wok is getting all 5 stars reviews. The food is "good" but, 1 quart of beef with broccoli or chicken with vegetables or whatever is basically one quart of the dish INCLUDING the white rice, not one quart of what you ordered. This is NOT how they do it where I come from, nor anywhere I have ever visited, including in the UK. You get a pint or quart of what you ordered PLUS a container or two of rice on the side. Not only that, but the amount of meat in the dish is very scant - I mean about 1/5 of what Im used to. The vegetables were good, but again, you dont that much b/c 2/3d of the container is filled up with the rice. But the prices are the same as what Im used to, so if you do the math, youre paying the same amount for about 1/3 of the food you ordered. Also - scant on the flavor, but heavy on the oil, for a bad combination.My kids asked, "why is the beef fried rice yellow?!" Ive had everything from dark brown to very light brown, but never yellow, and again the lack of flavor, but plenty "oily". So not bad, but not 5 stars by any measure. I am sincerely hoping that China Wok isnt getting these great reviews b/c everything else around here is terrible. Ill revisit this review if thats the case.

Wonderful place to eat. Every item on the menu is the best in the Harrisburg area. You can substitute items also to make your meal exactly what you want. We take friends there all the time and everyone is amazed how great the food is. I can not state much more totally favorable for fear it will sound not possible. One minor issue with the rating system is how the China Wok rating is 4.3 out of 5 when every person before ours, rated it 5.0. Our rating would far higher than our 5. I also do not understand the $$ rating on prices when often my our (my wife and I) both total $10 to $12.

Samples the shrimp and garlic lunch combo, which rang up to $6.25. It includes white or fried rice and a veggie spring roll. Spring roll was alight, too greasy and not a lot of flavor. Shrimp dish was good, sauce a little thick and not too spicy. There were maybe 7 shrimp in it.

I have never liked Chinese food until eating Chine Wok. They have the freshest and best I have ever had. The staff is also very friendly and everything is made in a timely manner. I have never waited longer than 20 minutes on a Friday night when lines are out the door.

Order from here as much as possible and will drive from anywhere to have it. Highly recommended over any other similar cuisine, the food is always hot and delicious and the staff are always welcoming. I feel like family every time I walk in.

First time calling for delivery women hangs up while Im making order claims delivery is up to 15 mines is up to ten Im still trying to complete my order she cuts me off and hangs up ??? Very rude never calling here again

The chicken tasted very rubbery and not like chicken at all. We tried the general tsoa and chicken and broccoli. Definitely not even worth the low price.
