Fine. Loud. Hit or miss food. My friend and I arrived at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Normally I dont come to Cheesecake Factory because of their insane waits. In fact, even though I could see it out my bedroom window for 10 years, I had only been to this location once. While we had a backup restaurant if the wait was terrible, we were told 10 minutes and actually seated in 5 minutes. We got a small table near the back. And when I say small table, I mean small table. It barely fit our drinks and appetizer. We struggled throughout the meal not to knock things off of it. Unfortunately, it was virtually on top of the table next to ours as well. At least it enabled us to become friendly with the foursome to our side. We waited about 10 minutes for a waiter to finally come over. Once he did, we requested water, which we had not yet received. My friend ordered a half bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, because she was in a bad mood and decided to splurge, even though the half bottle cost more than a full bottle at a store. The waiter then told us that they dont have half bottles, but my friend pointed it out on the menu. Despite their very poor beer list, they did have Stone IPA in bottles. So I ordered one of those. The waiter returned about five minutes later with the half bottle of champagne and a bucket to keep it chilled as well as my beer. My friend and I decided to split an order of nachos for an appetizer, and I ordered a hamburger medium rare you know why she ordered a chicken dish for our entrees. I have to admit the nachos were surprisingly good. They seemed very fresh with lots of cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. I ended up eating more of them that I had expected. However, they were the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, our entrees were not nearly as good as the nachos. My burger, which again, I had ordered medium rare, was well done. It was dry and relatively tasteless. It was also not brought with the condiments I had requested on the side. It also came with a very small side of fries. I was just not in the mood to send it back and wait for another one though. My friends chicken, which I did not taste since I dont eat chicken, was cold and tasteless. She said it was cooked, but cold. At least I could order another Stone IPA and she could enjoy her champagne. For dessert, we split the "ADAMS PEANUT BUTTER CUP FUDGE RIPPLE CHEESECAKE (Creamy Cheesecake Swirled with Caramel, Peanut Butter, Butterfingers® and Reeses® Peanut Butter Cups.)" It was good, but not great. It kind of tasted like it had come out of a box. Overall the service was pretty good. After the initial delayed water and misunderstanding about the champagne, our server was attentive except for the condiments, and it is not his fault that the entrees were not good. The restaurant itself was quite loud, measuring 93 decibels. I wont say that I will never come back, but with so many good options in the area Im unlikely to be back anytime soon. The very poorly executed entrées and the pathetic beer list really kind of ruined it for me.

I have been a customer of the Cheesecake Factory for over 6 years now. I try to go at least twice a month and whenever family/friends come into town I give them a tour of the mall then eat dinner at the cheesecake factory. We even introduced catoring to one of my friends sons birthday party last year. However, we will no longer go here due to the unprofessional, rude, distasteful service we received last week. My parents were staying at a hotel and I wanted to treat them to a nice dinner but they were too tired from all of the sight seeing we had done so we decided to order take-out. We ordered take out over 100.00 for my parents, husband, and I. I called an hour and a half before pick up time because I wanted to give ample time to prepare our meal since I know it is busy around night time. When my husband went to pick up the meal, he was greeted very rudely by the take-out host. When he asked to order desert for take-out, she gave a big sigh, rolled her eyes and did not even look at him. After he had paid, she then decided to walk away without giving him the desert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So he had to call her back over. When he got over to the hotel, I was excited to eat until I noticed everything was COLD. The noodles were hard on top and dry. The sandwiches were hard and cold. Best of all, there were NO utensils. HOW are we supposed to eat at our hotel room without any utensils? Eat with our fingers? When I called in for take-out the host specifically asked me how many utensils I wanted. Why ask when it cannot be delivered? I had also asked for some ketchup on the side for the fries. But the resutaurant was too busy to deliver that simple request either. So my mother and I had to eat our cold frires bare. When I called in to complain, I spoke with the Manager, Mr. Anthony. I explained to him what had happened... and his reply was "so what do you want us to do to fix this?" So I said I wanted a refund. Mr. Anthony said he will do that ONLY if we bring in all of the food into the restaurant to be RETURNED that night. He even added they were opened til 12 midnight. He wanted me to take away food from my starving parents and my son who did not eat since noon, pack all of the food back up, get into my car at 9 PM, then drive a good 10 minutes, bring the bags of food into the restaurant in front of the busy lobby where everyone will stare... to get a refund?????????? This is how your company treats a 6 year customer? I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN here. I am posting my experience on google, yahoo, yelp, city search, and the complaintsboard so that everyone can see what kind of a selfish poor customer service driven company you are with no regards to the customers feeling and sense of dignity. I am horrified at this so called high end chain restaurant!

My last experience with this restaurant was horrible. On their website they claim to "easily accommodate large parties" and they dont. I contacted guest relations back in early January to be sure they can accommodate large parties because I was about to invite about 30 people here for my boyfriends birthday. They responded saying they can absolutely accommodate that many people and I can even make a special menu for the dinner and I just needed to call the managers a few days ahead. A couple days before the dinner I called to see if I could make a reservation because it was a large party (it ended up being about 15 people). I waited over 20 minutes for a manager and had to hangup. My boyfriend called got a manager within 2 minutes and was told they dont take reservations for large parties and explained each location is different (the christiana mall one takes reservations for large parties). They also said they cant do a special menu which I was told differently. They only suggested we come in a few hours before so we can be seated by the time on the invite. We get there early and were told for that many people to be seated together it would be about 4 hours. They said they could separate us and itd take about 2.5-3 hours but no guarantee wed be seated near eachother. The only other suggestion they had is trying to take over the bar area which is self seating (thats hard to do because people hover over that area so they can take a spot once its opened). We finally got seated around 7 pm (at 3 booths located next to eachother but couldnt be seated together at a large table) but then a whole other set of problems came up. The waiter at 2 of the booths rarely checked on the tables, there was a problem with the food of one of the guests and they had to track down their waiter to tell him, and another guests drink got messed up. The one guest who had to get her food remade ended up with food poisoning. The food is good but the service is just ok (except our waitress was good). The wait times are absolutely ridiculous and the claim on their website about large parties is far from the truth. I understand not wanting to accept reservations for small parties but at least accept call aheads and reservations for large parties so theyre not stuck waiting double the amount of time of everyone else just because they want to be seated together and not in separate booths.
