I love this place, for the most part. The food is really good when it is served as it should be. Once in a while there is a rogue server or individual that Will absolutely screw up the entire evening. For example, a server, or a person who serves seven wings when you paid for eight, or will give you a ranch instead of blue cheese with your wings and then argue with you that you ordered the other. I believe it is really based on the youth of the person that they have hired. However, I have found that if you have a reasonable complaint they will do what they can to reasonably make it right. But again, I must reiterate, I love their food. Their beer selection is good. And I will keep going back. But I will always make sure to count my wings and make sure that I got the correct take out before I leave.

I came here with my girl and her dad, we ordered the bakers choice. The pizza was good a bit look warm but good, the sauce was sweat which was nice I dont like a tangy sauce and the amount on it was good. Not a fan of too much sauce. I rated a 3 out of 5 because it could have been better but wasnt bad I just have had better before but will def be back to try some more items on here and also the server was really nice and inviting, our servers name is May she was very nice. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and maintained.

The food was decent here. I had a panini and it was very good, but the side vegetables were not cooked very well (mushy and not hot). I was annoyed with how they try to upsell everything like the appetizers, loyalty program and a charity donation. I know this is what the chain restaurants typically do these days, but its still annoying when you are already paying good money for the meal.

Slow service. Waitresses hide and never come out to check on you. Empty drinks . Everytime I come in here. Ordered a plain pizza with extra sauce. I got robbed $2.20 for extra sauce!!! Dont mind paying for something extra but come on. The pizzas maybe come with 5 oz of cheese anyway. I think this visit will be my last.

Wow! What happened to the Grottos I grew up with? This was horrible! Possibly the slowest service Ive ever had at a restaurant. It was like the servers came out once every 15 minutes to take care of their tables and then went back into hiding. My wife, daughter and I all got sick! No sign of any management!

The pizza at Grotto is a Delaware staple, but, truth be told, its just not that good. It tends to be very greasy and overpriced for what it is. They also charge for delivery, so after tip, a delivered pie is well over $20. That said, service is always friendly and the kitchen is usually fast.

Ive been to many Grotto locations and this is one of the better ones. The staff here is attentive and the quality of the pizza is excellent. One of the few places where Im satisfied with even a cheese pizza.

First time patron, walking distance from hotel. Food was decent. Draft beer was flat, had to return, opted for water. Service was spotty, not young servers fault, assume training of staff is inadequate.

Was told a 30 to 45 minute wait for a pizza and some wings, an hour and a half later and still havent received our food. If youre backed up, say so when I order and not after Ive been waiting this long.

Stopped here for a quick bite on the way home from the beach. The pizza was great, one of the best I have. Service was good. Restruant clean, plenty of parking, friendly staff, and reasonable prieced.
