The Fig Cafe was my first experience in a Hookah Lounge. It was early 2012 and I had just moved to Jenkintown for work. I found the experience to be very welcoming to newcomers. My exposure to Hookahs was pretty minimal. The staff was very helpful. I had a lemon mint hookah, which is perfect for beginners; not too heavy leaves a refreshing sensation. I believe I also ordered some stuffed grape leaves to snack on, which was also a pleasant first experience. They often have good live music and a great social environment. My only real complaint was the ventilation not being particularly great, leaving the cafe full of smoke most of the time. Its close to a couple of nearby bars in walking distance and is a overall good experience. If youre in the area and havent been to a hookah lounge before, you should give them a shot.

Worst place ever! My friends and I came here for my birthday to hang out. . There were many issues with this place and Ill list them. 1. The customer service was horrible. 2. i had to play music from my aux cord. 3. The mployees & managers have no respect for blacks or WOMEN! 4. I witness racism first had. 5. The prices on the menu dont match the prices thats made up in their head. 6. The owner tried to charge 7 ppl $15 each for just being in the establishment when theres NO COVER CHARGE! Out of the 7 ppl only 4 ppl smoked hookah. Referring back to the menu you only charge $15 IF your smoking. 7. WE WERE RACIALLY PROFILED! 8. After refusing to pay the fee that was made up he decided to call the police, when the police arrived they realized that ppl were out of line and lied about everything that happened.

Ever since the owners changed this place was completely ruined. It used to be 11 dollars for a hookah now it is 15 per person for "unlimited" hookah. They are very reluctant to bring out more by the way. They did not update the interior apart from hanging some sports stuff on the walls (not what you would imagine to be hookah bar atmosphere) They charge 2 or 3 dollars per person for a dj. Both times I went after the owner change the DJs were 18 years old and had no idea what they were doing. For the six people we had with us, the bill came to over 150 dollars. For that kind of money you could go to a proper place like Byblos in center city where you actually get what you pay for. I have been coming to fig for years but I wont be back.

Great Hookah lounge/cafe away from the city. Very relaxed atmosphere, very friendly service, great prices and really good tobacco. Been going to this place for a while and its great every time. The only two drawbacks are the fans blowing which interrupts blowing smoke rings, and the place doesnt handle large groups well at all. The couches are meant for small groups and its difficult to accommodate more than ~10 people.

My father was the owner of the fig cafe before he moved to Florida it has held all of my memories since I was 4, one of my favorite memories was every Monday since I was 5 there wiuld be karoke night, Im now 10. Sadly my father had to sell the cafe it was fun being there for all my life since it opened when i was 1 and I hope that people tat go to the fig cafe have fun stay till it closes and regularly go back.

The worst experience ever. Prices online and prices on the menu dont match up AT ALL. Owners tried charging us $75 for 5 of us ($15 a person AND we were only there for about 30 minutes?). Lady kept saying that the prices online were in the past, but there was no date to them. Menu is extremely unclear. Awful place.

The environment is relaxed and the spot is very spacious. The place plays music and you can dance as well. The hookah was too strong for my liking, but overall a great place. Definitely worth checking out. Ill return soon. And they have delicious smoothies.

We waited for a menu for 15 minutes. Prices werent listed clearly. I went there with a friend. The menu says that one star buzz hookah was $15. We were charged $30 just because there was 2 of us.
