Came here for my girlfriends son 18th birthday - happens to be January 1st. Not a great day to celebrate a birthday. We tried to find the nicest place we could that was open New Years Day - We chose Susquehanna Harvest. It was very disappointing. The large open dining room lacked any sort of privacy or intimacy - which left me seated right next to a noisy and misbehaved infant. (not their fault) Our service was not good. We just had so many issues. The whole evening was a great and expensive disappointment. We were trying to get the family together to find a central place to meet so no one had to travel too far- and also to celebrate a birthday. I called ahead to inquire it would be OK to have a birthday here and for us to bring a cake. They said yes - it would be fine. (no mention there would be a cost.) We had a party of 6 - and they knew it was a birthday, a prime example for some wait staff to be on their best behavior. That was not the case…we were left wanting for drinks and service all night - having to frequently flag down other servers for drinks, dressings, water etc. My girlfriend had to ask for water 3 times - and she never did receive it! I wish I had read the earlier reviews because I got the Spicy Shrimp Noodles…Had I read the previous reviews I would have already known my dinner was going to be salty, overcooked, tough and chewy. How many people need to complain about the same exact thing before it gets changed? - I couldn’t even eat half of it… My girlfriend had the Winter Salad…which was good - but she didn’t care for the dressing…took an act of God to get another dressing - which she also didnt care for…and just gave up. Had it boxed up so she could eat it at home with whatever she wanted. So its cake time and they start to bring it out - at that point they ask us "we were aware that it was 3 dollars a plate to serve the cake" - which I replied NO and everyone freezes holding plates of cake in mid-service. I said it was fine- what was I do to? - It was the boys birthday and they were holding cake right in front of him. So how does that work - 18 dollars to serve the cake-I assume I have to tip on that amount too right…so 5 dollars there also - 23 bucks. I worked in the industry…I know how it works - I understand the cost, I would have appreciated knowing it was going to be 3 dollars a plate when I called to discuss it with them. We would have made other arrangements. So for our wonderful enjoyable birthday with tax and tip was close to 300 bucks. I was not happy; to save 23 dollars we could have gone home for the cake. I would have been happier had my food not been crap and had my drink filled a few times …heres a pro tip for all you servers out there - if the guy paying the check is drinking - keep his glass filled. For the record…I did not see the point in arguing anything on a special occasion and also being New Years Day. I paid happily - and tipped 25%. I couldn’t be sure if the bad service was because of the waitress - or the fact that it was a busy New Years Day and they were short staffed - she seemed to be trying…I didn’t want to penalize her. My overall impression of this place is fairly simple - it is in a strip mall - and that about sums it up.

I booked my reservation for ten well in advance. I was seated promptly upon arrival as were my guests. Imagine my chagrin when we half of us were seated facing a blinding sun. When I asked for the blinds to be drawn I was told they were. It was suggested by management that I simply change seats with someone seated on the other side of the table. I am not sure how that would have solved the problem. It was also pointed out by management that the sun would be down in an hour and they were very busy. What fun that would have been, sitting blinded by the sun for an hour.I asked for a different table and was directed to another table with the very same orientation toward the sun and with the very same problem. Not wishing to cause any additional commotion for other patrons, I made due. Every member of the service staff indicated that this has been a problem for some time. Apparently management just doesnt care. Having said that, the food was very good and the service was excellent. I would have given it five stars except for the restaurants apparent lack of concern about the customers comfort. If you go, refuse to be seated with the sun blinding you, unless of course you like that type of thing.

I have been to this restaurant in the past and it was excellent however I took my husband there for the first time and was so embarrassed. After we were seated it took the waiter 15 min to arrive at our table we ordered our drinks which I ordered a burbon drink that took 20 minutes to make apparently and was so loaded with mint i couldnt taste anything else needless to say I only had a couple sips it was that awful. We ordered the cheese board the bread was so hard we couldnt even break it with our hands. We also ordered the Greek salad which was excellent and the 3 bean turkey chili. For our entrees I ordered the braised short rib which was delicious and me husband ordered the scallops. 2 of his scallops were not fully cooked and he was not fond of the risotto that was served with his meal. For dessert I had the chocolate salted Carmel it was as if I was eating chocolate icing out of the jar. I was offered another dessert which I stated I would take it to go but never did receive it. Again extremely disappointed with this past visit.

I have been here for almost every season since they opened and have not had a single bad experience with the taste or quality of the food. The kitchen can be hit or miss with timing, and I have had a few occasions where a normal menu item without modifications took over 30 minutes. In both instances the price was reduced and/or we were offered free dessert. The most important thing about this place, and other establishments in the area need to learn this lesson: when the customer tells them they have a food allergy, they take it seriously. They go FAR out of their way to modify anything on the menu to your dietary needs. They even made the tofu stir fry into a pan cooked meal, as my girlfriend cannot eat foods cooked on a wood fire. Yeah, oddly the veggies/tofu are cooked on the open flame. One time my then girlfriend went in with a huge list of intolerances and they came back with a list of items they could modify to her needs and would still taste good. For this fact alone, this is my favorite place in the area!

Took our out-of-town daughter to Harvest this evening. Two very different outcomes: The food was very good. The service was TERRIBLE. Ordered drinks and appetizer. Appetizer was delivered before drinks, so sat and cooled. No water was offered. We asked for water - nothing happened. Food was delivered after 20 minutes. Still no water. Asked a second person for water - no water. Asked a third person for water after 40 minutes - was told that "we are out of glasses - well try to get you some water when we wash them" (and it was not that busy). Got water after 50 minutes. When dinner finished, bus person removed two of three plates, and never picked up the other one. Was Never able to get a refill of iced tea. No condiments (salt, pepper, sugar, etc) on table or offered. After dinner, had to practically tackle the server to get a check. Ive now been there twice - the first and last times. This place just doesnt care. Too bad, as the food was well above average.
