The evening could have gone really well or really bad. I drove by two Asian style restaurants which didnt look appealing. The names on google varied from the name outside. One said buffet which to me always means cheap knockoff food. I was literally 10 steps from walking into TGIFridays when I looked across the street and saw this restaurant. I thought it was a omen. I parked and went in. The atmosphere was humble. The server sat me and immediately was at my side at full attention. I ordered my drink and food almost immediately. The salad arrived perfectly. The ginger dressing was as amazing as it should be. Second course, the miso soup, was perfect. Then the true test, the sushi and sashimi. Display was beautiful and the colors of the fish were remarkable. Both the look and taste screamed of freshness. While Im typically skeptical of a restaurant that has their awards on display at the host stand, I have to say this was a top ranked meal. I look forward to a return visit soon.

I usually go on the half price Sunday deal and you get what you pay for. During these visits I can expect to be there for almost two hours. The wait staff takes forever to everything. The only reason its half price is so they can get rid of the fish before it goes bad. My rolls have always been good. Only once did it seem to upset my stomach. Last time I was there and asked for my own check in a group of five she included me on someone elses check. Now, the few times I have been there on a regular day the service is excellent and swift. The sushi is good and pretty fresh. I would recommend a few other places before I would send someone here but if they are looking for half decent sushi for cheap on a Sunday this is your place!

I had read some of the horror stories about Empire Asian Bistro on Yelp and wasnt too sure what to expect. We visited for lunch on a saturday afternoon recently, it had been totally re done. Nicely laid out sushi bar, very spacious, Empire also has a selection of wine and liquor. The interior of the restaurant was very nicely decourated. For lunch we skipped the appetizers and went straight to the entrees: our family of four adults and two children ordered: Empire Yaki-Udon (10.95), Japanese Teriyaki Steak (14.95), Crispy Whole Fish (19.95), Sauteed Veggies (8.95), and the Maki Combo A: 1 spicy tuna, 1 spicy yellow tail, 1 spicy california roll (14.95) All of the entrees came with a bowl of miso or wonton soup.

I have only been to Empire on Sundays for 1/2 price sushi. It is always very busy in the evenings due to the sushi deal, and if you go in during dinner time you can expect to wait awhile. However, if you go there in the afternoon on Sunday for 1/2 price sushi it is excellent. The service and food delivery are much faster since it is slower in the afternoon. The sushi is fresh and delicious and the presentation is fantastic. Plus, they have the yummy fried noodles and duck sauce to munch on while you are waiting. The atmosphere and decor are relaxing and elegant. 2 thumbs up.

Our regular go to for Chinese cuisine. The location is easy to get to with loads of parking. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The staff are reasonably friendly and attentive. The Chinese food we order (rice and stir fry) is delicious and consistently good. I hang a lot of my opinion on their fried rice and theyve managed to keep the rice from falling into the trap of being old and re-heated. My recently tried the sushi and thought it was merely okay. Shes willing to give it another shot because of all the pluses. She is there to enjoy their veggy lo-mein and tofu stir fry.

Yesterday I took a party of 8 to Empire Asian Bistro to celebrate a birthday. Our server handled the large party with class and was very hospitable. All the dishes came out warm and ready to eat. The food is of good quality and many dishes come with rice and soup or salad. I cannot speak for the sushi, but the other dishes were delicious. The only improvement I can think of would be the use of the sauce on the dishes, as it was a bit heavy on some of the dishes. Overall, the whole party had a good experience. I will be back!

The food was great the service was awful.. They didnt bring everyones food out at the same time. One person got their salad after everyone was done eating their soups and salad .Same situation with entrees one person had to wait a few mins until their food was brought out. We all asked for water only two waters showed up. Our appetizer showed 3 minutes after the entree . We had to ask for silverware twice and I doubt I would ever go back. Not a pleasant experience. Their fried calamari is gross but the rest of the food is great.

Can NOT be worst!!! I ordered a whole roated duck: the duck itself was too dried. Also, the food presentation was terrible. It looked like someone had eaten part of the dish before it was brought out?! The waitor barely even spoke English and as if it was not bad enough, the bowl of rice he gave me had oil stuck on the side?! And, it took him 15 mins to give me a new one. After that, I had to go get him myself to ask for water refill. Well, definitely a no go back for me!!!

This place is one of the best restaurants in the area. The sushi is amazing. The won-ton soup is the best Ive ever had. Every entree Ive had is perfect. And the half price for sushi on Sundays, especially for the quality of that sushi, cannot be beaten. The staff is ALWAYS so nice. Every other restaurant that has been at this location has failed. This is by far the best restaurant that has ever been at this location and I hope so much that it succeeds.

Had dinner here tonight, was fantastic. I had the sushi dinner very fresh. My partner had one of the empire sizzlers. fantastic mix of flavors. prices were good for the portion sizes. Atmosphere is high class oriental. The staff and service were top notch. We will definitely dine here again and will recommend to all our friends.

Half price sushi on Sundays. We ordered the treasure boat for 2 (reg 70$, 35$ on Sunday) great deal. However, it seemed to take forever for the appetizer, and the boat to arrive. Plus the rolls were VERY loose. They fell apart in the soy sauce... Id go back for another try tho.

Ted Thai Curry is my "go to" Thai dish that I try everywhere I go. This one lacked any heat and was not very flavorful. Also, the house salad was limp and looked and tasted old. I was disappointed after reading all the good reviews.

Excellent chinese -- best in Harrisburg! Best service around! Absolutely wonderful atmosphere. Kid-friendly, even! Best spring rolls Ive ever had and the general tsos was right up there -- certainly beats any local chinese take-out.
