Z Wei is sometimes overlooked, being so close to Han Dynasty (which was award winning before the chef moved to one of their other locations), but that is a shame. Z Wei is the more laid back and casual of the two, the decor is understated and classy, and good for a date. Before the meal you get the "old school" duck sauce and fried noodles to snack on while you ponder over the menu (be aware [currently] there is no less than three menus ("normal" menu, sushi menu, cantonese menu), you must ask to get them all). There are Japanese and Thai options on the menu as well as all the Szechuan and Cantonese standbys (ask if you dont see something!). Usually well get a Dan Dan Noodle appetizer as appetizer, and favorites would be the Green Curry Chicken & Tangerine Beef ( although I cantt say Ive ever been disappointed w/ anything Ive ordered). Meal presentation is typically beautiful. Meals ends with Mochi ice cream & orange slices & fortune cookies. Z Wei also offers takeout food, and there is a separate banquet room available for bigger affairs.

The Chinese dishes served in this restaurant has been consistently good over the years. We always come here for our Chinese gathering. The authentic Chinese dishes served here are mostly spicy. But, they are good. So, for those cant handle spicy food, please dont bother... I dont understand why people bad mouthing the Thai food served in the restaurant being terrible. Dont they know that Thai and Chinese are very different. Serving good quality sushi in this restaurant is already a plus. For those who were looking for "decent" Thai food, they should consider going to a "great" Thai restaurant. Does that sound like a more sensible thing to do???

I just went here, food was really overpriced and the portions of beef i got with my beef teriyaki was pathetic. They literally put the meal the opposite way its supposed to go, so that way they could shove literally what was the whole serving of onions under it. I got 12 pieces of half inche beef pieces that were mostly fatty for 13.75 and the soup i got taste like warm piss and salad was just lettuce other then the half tomato piece that was soaked in ginger sauce cuz they wanted to cover everything up under which was just LETTUCE. I wouldnt recommend this place one bit their service is bad and that is for sure.

Ive had the Chinese at this restaurant before, and it was delicious. However, the Thai leaves something to be desired. Despite the fact that ordered red curry chicken, and corrected our waitress when she repeated "green curry chicken" before placing the order, I received green curry chicken. Even though they got the order wrong, the menu states that green curry chicken includes eggplant, which mine did not. Also, my wife ordered shrimp pad Thai which was supposed to include egg, bean curd and bean sprouts- it included none of these things. Well go elsewhere next time.

Yes, I am writing a review for Z. Wei JUST to brag about how much I absolutely LOVE their calamari. I have been a fan of fried/tempurad calamari for years and I have tried it at many different kinds of restaurants (usually asian or italian), and Z. Wei is hands down THE best. It is very lightly breaded, crisp, flavorful, and the dipping sauce is delicious! The squid is cooked to perfection and not even a little bit too chewy. Ive tried their sushi, singapore noodles, sweet & sour chicken/pork, spring rolls, and other items as well- I have never been disappointed.

Ive eaten here twice. The first time I ate here I ordered sushi and it was really good. It tasted great and was of good quality. The second time I ate here I read a review about how good the Mongolian beef is, so I decided to order the Mongolian beef. Ive only ever had it from pf changs and I love it. This is nothing like pf changs. It was OK but I would never order it again. My friend ordered sweet and sour chicken and she said it was very good.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this place. The food at this restaurant is horrible!!!! Im not even joking. Their hot and sour chicken was nasty, old andays oily. I also ordered Chicken pad Thai which I knew I shouldnt have done but I thought maybe I should give this restaurant a chance. Nope! It was a bad choice. The customer service is something to be desired and the menu online doesnt show the true prices.

Their dishes are excellent. We try something new every time we go and it seems anything you choose on the menu is a perfect choice. Their broiled lamb and leek dish is the best of its kind as well as the General Tsos. But then there are the sautéed green beans, cooker with bits of delectable wild spinach.... You really cant go wrong with whatever you pick!!

We can not speak for the other offerings, but the Thai portion of the menu leaves much to be desired. The pad thai dinner was far and away the worst version of the dish that we have ever eaten. Other dishes were decent, but could have been more flavrorful. There are other Thai resturants in the area if you are looking for more authentic cuisine.

I only ever get the sushi, but this is the best sushi place Ive ever been to and Ive been to five star Japanese restaurants. Chris is an artist (not to mention very speedy) and the prices are a steal for the level of quality; 2 meals for roughly $20. So sad when I moved away.

The food here is great! Service is great as well. The servers are very nice and attentive. This is a BYO which is always nice. They have great sushi. To start the meal they give you crunchy noodles with duck sauce. The entrees are also good. Definitely a place to check out!

I use to come here when it was China wok. There was no suchi on the menu. The Chinese food was great. Now that its different, I love the fact there are Japanese food, and suchi on the menu. But the Chinese food made a turn for the worse. But its still a great place to eat.

We got delivery and it was the worst sesame chicken Ive ever had. It was hard and some how both flavorless and had a terrible aftertaste. My husband go the sushi and while not terrible it was definitely not worth the price. The serving size was small.

Great sushi and the Mongolian beef (spicy) we ordered was awesome! Everything was very fresh! Polite staff and they are very service oriented. Decor / atmosphere could use some updating. Heads up.... Its a BYOB! Will be back again!

Just paying the bill here and I have to say that the sushi was horrible. The price was decent for sushi but the sushi itself was terrible. Overly fishy and not enough rice rolled on it. Trying the Chinese route next time

The service is not good. We had to wait over half an hour to order our entrees.. then they came out one at a time insteado of all at once, and the food is subpar at best. If you want asain cuisine, do not come here.

One of the best sushi places the area. The prices are pretty reasonable and food is always very fresh. Sometimes the service is pretty slow but when youre going to hang out with friends thats not always a bad thing.
