Initially when they opened, I used to visit Ruchi quite frequently as I live nearby and eat out on a regular basis and they used to be very good. But my last visit in May 2016 I was very disappointed. 1. They are busy now good business, but still only 1 person with an iPad to take the orders. It took him 25 minutes to reach my table. Really….. big savings 2. Much longer to serve 45-50 minutes and food was pathetic and excuse was they are busy. unacceptable, you need to support your growth. 3. Good to have BYOB – you can get more traffic. I don’t mind it but some time when you are out with parents or small kids, little awkward because sitting area is all open. Other day cricket or some team was there. Decent but very loud, sure people wants to enjoy after drinks. Bottom line pathetic food and poor service – not going to recommend any more.

I have been to this restaurant a few times, but thanks to my experience yesterday, they just lost me as a customer. I subscribe to a dining discount program (thediningoutcard) that has listed them as participants. However when I presented my card, the server (after checking with the owner) said they do not accept it. I argued a bit suggesting he check out the web site, but then recognizing that its the owner who had denied it, I suggested to the server that I talk directly to the owner. His first response was "he is busy right now and cannot talk". Ummm, too busy to talk to your customer ? Upon insisting I finally got to talk to him. Not only did he refuse to accept that they are listed as active participants, he was rude, curt and just wanted to get off the call. I would rather give my business to restaurants that care about their customers.

We went for dinner at Ruchi two weeks back, restaurant wasnt that busy. I ordered fish biryani as I do not eat chicken or goat. As soon as I ate my first bite, oh my god I found bone of may be chicken or goat, then i stopped eating and looked closely and found a piece of chicken. I cannot believe how careless the kitchen folks are, worst place to eat for vegetarians. Please do not go there if you are pure vegetarian. I informed the server and then manager came, he was like you know we cook briyanis in seperate vessels blah blah blah, I was like I dont want to hear how you cook, the only thing i know is i found chicken piece and bones in my fish biryani. Please be careful when you order your food there and look closely before you eat.

I have visited Ruchi three times, 2-lunch buffets and one dinner within the past two months. Every visit was very good. The staff is attentive and helpful with useful suggestions. The quiet and comfortable interior helps you forget the bustling Exton mall across the street. The buffet is complete with a good range of fresh and tasty choices for the non-vegetarian and vegetarian alike. I am not a vegetarian however my guests are and enjoyed the experience. The dinner was plentiful and well prepared. A very nice combination of Northern and Southern Indian regional flavors. Thank you Ruchi.

I picked up two chicken Biryanis and a Hariyali chicken. The chicken biryani is a mix of white, red and yellow rice minus the Biryani spices. They dont even have a time to mix these rice to get a proper mixture. You can pick the yellow, red, or white rice separately if you wish to eat. On top of it, its not even warm enough to eat when you bring home (I live .5 miles from this place to be exact) so dont forget to use your microwave. So disgusting place to order food. That being said, I never tried done in though so no comments there.

Great food, but they dont answer the phone half the time I made a point while I was waiting on my takeout to be cooked I called and watched them ignore the ringing phone. And told them I tried to call ahead because I had a busy night and wanted to be in and out they said there must me a problem with the phones. I didnt argue but lying to my face has made me not go back.

Service was very very slow. Literally we waited for 20 mins for water to be served and I picked the Menu card after 15 mins.. this is definitely understaffed now. This place use to be good. Food wise, it was good. Since the chicken we ordered was not as per expectation and we didnt eat it, the manager was considerable enough to not charge us, thus 3 starts.

Its a Friday and I opted for buffet. 1. Chicken starters are good. 2. Ordered dosa and nan on to the table and received it in less than 5 mins... Competitively fast service. 3. I like goat, the taste of goat curry is good, but itd be better if it is cooked for some more time. 4. Biryani is OK OK... Overall Im satisfied and would definitely come back.

Probably the best Indian buffet in Exton. Nothing on the buffet line stands out for singular recognition, but the whole thing is rarely disappointing. My only (super) minor gripe is the lack of mango Lassi as a regular offering.

I have come here several times. There tandoor section is rather good. I have sampled the tandoori chicken, fish tandoori and hariyali kebab. I also really like their south indian fare including the rava masala dosa and medu vada.

Delicious, authentic food with a friendly and attentive staff. We live in Philadelphia, but gladly drive the 40 miles just to eat here. Try the Dosa - most Indian restaurants dont even have it, but here it is perfect!

Meat dishes are delicious than their veg cousins. Try their house spl Biriyani. Service could be little faster. Recommend this place if you are looking for some authentic south indian food

Authentic south indian food. Malai koftha was perfect. So, is the butter naan. Nice coconut chutney and kids loved their dosa and uthappam. Room for improvement in speed of food service.

Good quality food with authentic taste. I have visited many times and never returned disappointed. If you are non vegetarian you must try their chicken haryali kabob.
