Worst "breakfast" Ive experienced in a long time. Waited at the table about 5 mins before our waitress came over, she didnt say hi or introduce herself just asked what we wanted for breakfast. My bf and I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of toast to share, simple. Another group walked in 10-12 mins after we had been sitting, this table received and were presumably halfway through their food before I was inqusitive about our meal. Another table came about 20mins after us and also received their food. By this I was ready to leave. No one came to our table to explain or apologize. We decided to leave but I asked to speak to a manager. The "manager" was dressed in a dingy athletic shirt and sneakers and was just sitting at the counter. I asked why wed been waiting almost 40 mins for our food, he just uncaringly said "Ill find out for you" I said we are not staying for breakfast. There was barely an apology and the sorry that was there was very insincere. Waitress didnt apologize or say anything. No rush to see where our food mysteriously dissappeared to. Just an "ok" as we left. I understand mistakes happen but for the staff to be so unapologetic is very poor service etiquette. Its a shame as the food is pretty good. Hopefully upper management cares about their business enough to shape up their staff.

I dont do reviews but I had to because the only reason we went here was because my wife read good reviews. My wife ordered a Western omelette. Which ever one knows has onions, peppers and ham. Even on their menu it reads this. Well no onions, there were mushrooms in it which she had to pick out and peppers were raw. I ordered Filet Tips omelette which also read onions. Guess What? Yup, no onions. And my peppers were raw and the filet tastes as if it were cooked in boiling water. Filet is not supposed to be tough to chew and had no flavor. I mean they didnt even use salt and pepper to cook it in. Now to top this experience off, my water glass had food stuck to the inside of it. I noticed after I started drinking. Thats when I had to get up and just leave. Why didnt I ask to get everything fixed??? Our waitress set our check down with our food and we never saw her again. Portion sizes were better than average. But when I eat out I want quality over quantity. Thats why I had to write a review and why we read reviews before we go. This is NO 5 star breakfast.

I walked in with two friends (party of 3). 5 minutes later a team shows up (party of at least 10). We joked and said "glad we got here before them". They were seated first and continued to try to cut in line. Staff did not care. Our waitress came to us after we got up and asked (after 20+ minutes of sitting). The large team ordered before us and was served before us. We were finally served and the waitress came to fill our drinks (after us asking) and spilled half the pitcher of water on our table/seat. After cleaning it up on our own with little help from the waitress we were then left with no napkins. The waitress then came to us (the quickest she did all morning) and handed us our check and asked if everything went well. At that point we were too ticked off to say anything and left.

Worst food I have ever had at one of their locations. I ordered the big breakfast... what I got was a lot of grease and burnt toast, burnt pancakes, and a manager that copped a horrid attitude. I did eat one of the pancakes that was not burnt. When I told the waitress about it, she said she would speak with the manager. The manager came over and told us she would take 20% off the bill. All I ate was 3 hard pieces of bacon and a half a pancake. She informed me that a pancake that was dark brown was not burnt, but it was done. I will NEVER go back. After I told her that the eggs were really bad, someone else said something. She told both of us that it was just too much butter. Wrong... Try to much oil. My scrambled eggs were slimy.

The food was decent, service was decent, overall experience was decent. But thats about it, decent. I was unimpressed with their menu due to the lack of sweet breakfast food. I love pancakes, waffles, French toast, things of that nature; and there were few of these items to choose from. My boyfriend got Cajun eggs. The portion was huge and he really liked it. I ordered a basic breakfast with two eggs, bacon, a sausage link, homefries, and toast. And again, it was decent. The sausage was better than most restaurants (it wasnt a typical skinny link, it was more of a homemade sausage.)

Food is generally good. Service is always lacking. Writing this because recently had a very poor experience. I found a live fly in the sugar dispenser on the table. Could have made a big deal about it, but simply told the waitress after waiting for 10 minutes until the next time we saw. She exchanged it. No one apoligized, no discount offered, nothing. Told the manager at time of checkout, still nothing done. Breakfast food took 45 minutes after order (was not overly busy), service was abysmal. Needless to say, we will be frequenting another establishment.

I am only giving The Breakfast Place 2 stars because the food was very good. The service was another story. I can completely understand waiting on food because of the place being busy, but waiting on food for over 50 minutes and then the food coming out wrong is ABSURD. By the time the food got to our table, no one was really hungry anymore. I was not impressed at all. Even with the cheap prices, its not worth the wait. I would def go there again AFTER I ate breakfast because maybe by the time my food came out I would be hungry again.

The food here was better than Dennys or Eat n Park. I have had better breakfasts at comparable prices at two other spots in Erie(Panos and Dominiks). The service the day I was in was very slow...we were seated and the promptly forgotten about for nearly a half hour. The hours are very accommodating and Im sure after a long night out this is a great place to end your night. Im sure if I wasnt stone cold sober at 10:30AM and was just trying to stay upright at 3AM I would have given 5 stars....maybe next time.

Huge disappointment. I went with a group of ten, which they had to split is into three tables, which was understandable because it was a small place. However, my table got their food half an hour after the other two tables, and one person at the table got their food about seven minutes after the rest. When we did finally get out food my pancakes were average and cold, which was a shame. However, the gravy fries we one redeeming quality they had. I would not go back.

The only good diner breakfast option in the area. The food is your basic diner food, eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, etc. The coffee is standard diner coffee(weak and slightly burnt). The service is friendly, and usually fast. The only downside is that there is always a line. Not much chance youll be sat in under 15min, and if theyre busy it can take up to an hour to get a seat.
