Had our second visit this week while visiting our daughter. Both times we sat outside on the back patio, it is quite pleasant and even in the hot weather was pleasant. The food is well thought out and what we had has always been excellent. We enjoyed the duck, short ribs, and a steak this time. The bar has an interesting selection of whiskeys and other beverages. I was able to have Blue Coat gin, a craft expression from Philly, that is not easy find. The staff seems well trained, experienced, and accommodating. This trip we went on a Tuesday. Our first visit was on "first Friday" and the parking was tight.

You cannot come to Bistro 71 and not try their lamb lollipops (in their list of appetizers). They are SO delicious & tender and the flavor is really top notch with the addition of he raspberry glaze. I accompanied my order with a grilled chicken caesar salad, which was just okay, but the lamb really pulled the slack for this instead. Service is great- the waitstaff makes great wine recommendations based on your order as well. Nice addition to the Chambersburg area, will definitely try additional items from their menu.

The Bistro is small but the food is fantastic, but be warned it is pricey. I had the crab cakes and I have to say they were the best I have ever had. They are made with colossal lump crab meat no fillers and you can choose 1 or 2 for your meal. My husband had the fish of the day, tuna encrusted in blackened sesame seeds which he said was wonderful also. The meals come with house salad, veggie and rice and also a warm roll.

Un impressed .. Hipster druggies frequently seen. You know who they are. Artsy artsy hustlers.do what you know best. Burgers and wings not fine dinning. Will never step foot into your establishment again!!!

Stop going there, service was bad, I had sent some food back because they didnt microwave it long enough and the owner dropped it off with a nasty remark. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent food,a little pricey but well worth it! The owners are very friendly and always make sure to say hello. Sarah is a very attentive server.
