(1/10/14) - Something fishy about the reviews. First of all, this is NOT a "$$" restaurant as the summary states. This is the full-blown "$$$$$". All entrees are $30 or more, the average about $45. reaching as high as mid-60s for some. The food is very good. Not $50/entree good, but still very good. Thats the good news. But I cant believe someone commented about the great atmosphere. This place is a mess inside. Its a converted old 1 room schoolhouse. The main dining area is so very crowded, you are right on top of the folks at the adjacent tables. Careful when you get up because your chair is going to knife right into someones back when you do. I hope you enjoy hearing the conversation at the table next to you because you cant help but hear everything that is said; you are that close. Then there is the fresco area. We went in January so it was "tarped" off with what had become and "off-white" tarp and duct tape....yes duct tape! Then the portable heater on the floor sounded like a train was coming through when it kicked on. Cant believe that such an "elegant" place would find this acceptable. They keep this area very dimly lit so much so that we saw someone actually using a small flashlight to read the menu. I wish we had one. Overall service was poor; about a 3 on a scale of 10. We had a party of 4. Salad came out about 10 minutes after we ordered, which was OK. But the side dish of pasta about 45 minutes after our initial order. The main course was at least 80 minutes after we ordered. Three of our entrees came out at the same time, but the fourth one was a good 5-7 minutes after that, no reason given (dont you just love being polite and watching your food get cold, waiting for the other persons dish to arrive?). The server was slow checking on us, water glasses stayed empty for over 15 minutes before he got around to refilling. Time from when we asked for our check and when we got it was at least 10 minutes. We spent 2 hours and 40 minutes and keep in mind, we did not order an appetizer or dessert. Very over-rated. The well-to-do patrons will praise it since it is not a chain restaurant, its unique, its out of the way, and the high prices make it seem exclusive. But objectively, this would not make anyones top 10 list. Better meals at less than half the price can be found all around this place. And if you want to drop $250 for a party of 4, go to LeMont, Monterey Bay, Hyde Park, or some place where the food is just as good, if not better, and with a view or more comfortable dining experience.

Im sure everyones experiences can differ. What I can say is that while I can personally see where some people might view the place as overpriced, I cant help but think that; where else around the Canonsburg area can you get the kind of personable service that we got? We tried the meatball appetizer because we wanted to sample the house sauce. The meatball was brought out, cut and served to us by a server that wasnt even taking care of us. The sauce had an amazing full flavor. Salad was good, but the pasta service was fantastic. She had the vodka sauce, while I took the table side service of the Cacio e Pepe. Both sublime. I believe my servers name was Kearsten, who handled the table side service amazingly. For someone who was self admittedly a bit more reserved, she was an amazingly gracious hostess and guide for our dining experience. Upon her recommendation, I tried the N.Y. Strip Fiorentina. 21 days dry aged, and I loved every bite of it. Heres where I am counter to some folks talk of it being overpriced: We had enough food to take home and likely make two more meals out of! We heard enough talk of the raspberry Tiramisu, so we took it home to-go. Again, amazingly done and fantastic flavor. All told, we cant thank everyone enough for a fantastic meal!

All of the dishes here are phenomenal! I have never ordered something I didnt like. And while some people may grip and groan about the wait time for their food...I say...get a freaking life people!" If you want fast food, go to one of the many fast food chains around here, this is not fast food, its really good food served however long it takes to freaking make it. The wait time here for your food is not bad, and they dont claim that it comes out fast anyways. You go here to have a nice multi-course meal, something that is out of the norm. ITS NOT A MCDONALDS PEOPLE! You get bread, salad, pasta, and your meal....and you must try a drink (a margarita, the pumpkin spice martini, or the lemon berritini)! The only thing Im not so keen on here are their desserts and thats because I used to work in a bakery ... so I know my sweets. And the only sweet that they offer, that I like, is the gelato. Favorite apps here are the Black Tiger Shrimp App (which they dont have all the time), and the Smoked Provolone App. Favorite meal is the Filet Gorgonzola, mmmmm mmmmm.

We have been going to this restaurant for years now and cant say enough about how great it is. Yes the food is a bit pricey, however you get what you pay for. The quality of the food is unmatched by any Downtown restaurant. And the portions are large enough that gives you the opportunity to try a lot of different items at one sitting and the benefit of having great left overs for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is small but quaint which we enjoy. We have never had an average meal there, let alone a bad one. And always feel that its money well spent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that enjoys quality food.

The food is grossly over priced. Service is fair. Must ask for lemon, butter, salt and pepper. What is that all about? Who would expect an expensive restaurant to serve salad and pasta family style? The food was marginal at best. One person got a 20 oz. rib eye steak for $58.00 and it was loaded with gristle. The chicken dishes are $35.00+, deep fried with diced tomatoes out of can on top! Sour and tasteless. I would not recommend this restaurant. What a disappointment. We were expecting something spectacular!!

This is a really enjoyable experience. The food here is just fantastic. The wine selection is very good. The patio area is decently private. The fireplaces in the winter make it feel very cozy. While the prices are higher for local restaurants, its comparable to the quality and meals you would get in the city. Highly recommended.

This place is Top Notch... I love all the people with negative reviews... The food is out of this world. We have been to both Arlecchino and Alla Familgia. We prefer Arlecchino because of the proximity to our house. I personally recommend the Meatball or Provolone as the app. Veal Milanese and Seafood Diavolo are the best around!

It was my sons college graduation celebration and he picked your restaurant because he and his wife went there previously for their anniversary. Great choice for sure. We went on Tuesday Sept 20th our waitress was Wendy. Awesome all around experience. She couldnt have been nicer. Will definitely recommend your place.
