I went in at 10:45AM to order a Caesar salad with chicken as an early lunch/late breakfast. I asked for water and was provided with a filthy glass with food stuck to it. The food stuck to the glass was about size of a dime. When I asked for a new water, the waitress was not sympathetic to my situation (she instead got huffy at me requesting another water). I waited, seated at the counter, for the Caesar salad for more than twenty ("20") minutes. At that point, I explained to the waitress that I needed to run an errand and then asked that Caesar salad with chicken be set up as take-out meal for pickup when I returned. I further explained that I would be back in 15 to 20 minutes to pickup my order. When I came back in 25 minutes at 11:30AM, I asked for my order. The counter person went back to the kitchen for 5 minutes to check on my order. The counter person then explained that my waitress would bag up my order. After waiting another 5 minutes , making it now 11:40AM, I pay for my Caesar salad with chicken (almost one hour since I placed the order) and left the premises with my boxed order. When I get to the car, I said to myself lets confirm that the order is correctly done. To my shock and surprise, we do NOT have a Caesar salad (we a little Romaine lettuce with Italian dressing). Caesar salad is made of romaine lettuce WITH croutons, parmesan, and Caesar dressing (made with egg, oil and anchovy) When I confronted the counter person with this fact that I did NOT receive a Caesar salad, she explained that what I have is how the Palace always makes Caesar salad. As a result, I demanded a refund. Initially, the counter person shortchanged me on the refund (when I confronted her with the shortchange, I was given the proper change). Up until today I would go to the Palace restaurant for breakfast about twice a week. These breakfasts have usually been pretty solid regarding portion size, quality and value. Early morning waitresses are not always the friendliest but get the job done. In conclusion, if you are looking for a waste of time, crappy food (other than breakfasts), abrasive wait staff and clueless counter person then the Palace Restaurant is for you. Today was my last visit to the Palace Restaurant. Finally, maybe I will call the Board of Health regarding the filthy glass issue (before someone really gets sick). Bon appetit.

I have read the reviews and I can agree with most of them, sometimes they are a bit slow, especially when they are busy and they are busy most of the time. Most of the wait staff are great, but theres a couple of the waitresses who should be at least told to improve their people skills. The food is excellent, I like my steaks, prime rib, burgers medium rare to medium and they really do a good job with this..all the other eateries around here dont even come close. Their fish preparations are are so excellent. I ask them to cook my fish lightly and again they are on point. If you tell them how you want your cooked, they are happy to oblige..its been a pleasure to give my opinion and I recommend the Palace if you want to enjoy good food at a very reasonable price..!!

Ive ate here it was ok. I went in here to see if they were hiring. I was greeted by a nice gentleman who said they might be hiring for kitchen help and got me an application. As he was getting me an application a young waitress ignorantly says theyre not hiring and gave me a nasty look and also said eww. I took the application home. No way in hell i was going to fill out the app there. Just because of her i will not eat there again or apply. Little does she know Ive worked at country clubs, a catering company and other similar food industry places. I have 8 years exp. as a server and worked in the kitchen at a couple places plus bartending.

The Palace has good food and lots of it. They have a nice spread in holidays. The problem is the seating. You wait and wait and wait. Where you wait is inconvenient for customers coming in or using restrooms. You constantly have to move. It gets annoying after a few times. Plus, you have to stand next to the carts with dirty dishes and garbage. Today, I asked if we could make a reservation because my dad is in a wheelchair and it would be difficult to maneuver the waiting area. I was told that they would not take reservations and we would have to wait. We went to another restaurant and will not return to the Palace.

Great place! Love the food, the service and the reasonable prices! They give you great portions and the food is always very flavorful no matter what you order. My favorite is the chicken caesar salad - they give you a huge portion, the croutons are always fresh, and the chicken is tender, juicy and spiced perfectly! The salad dressing is definitely their own recipe and very authentic. I read the other reviews and I honestly dont know why anyone might have had a bad thing to say. Ive been coming to this place for 2 years and love it!

My husband and I were here Sunday after church and had a excellent meal. The 2 for 20$ was a great deal. lots of food ,good quality food. Waitress was a sweetheart but did forget to ask us for refills and kept saying she would get our dinner rolls and kept forgetting and never did bring them to our table. no big deal. Some people just need to complain about everything. We are very fussy about where we eat but we find this a very good restaurant. good prices , clean and great food. service needs a bump up, that we agree on.

This place is the dirtiest filth hole Ive ever seen anywhere ever. Take it from someone who worked there for two years, dont eat there. I could sit here and type a novel of horror stories. The owners do not care about quality or cleanliness at all. They treat their employees like dirt and make fun of regular customers all the time. They only care about money and dont care that its infested with roaches or that they store raw chicken in bus tubs on the floor. Cheap prices dont make up for horrors that go on in that kitchen.

The Palace is okay but far from spectacular. Its one of those old-school family restaurants that has a really broad menu that tries to please everyone possible but its so big the food that you get is just adequate and nothing to write home about. Its prepared well but you get the feeling that a lot of it isnt exactly made from scratch. The looks of the place could use a good update as well; it certainly isnt a palace by any means. It will do for a quick family meal, but dont expect anything special.

I ordered a Greek Chicken salad with no onions and it came with onions AND anchovies! Even after removing the 10 3 inch anchovies of course my salad still tasted like anchovies. The waitress never offered to bring me something else or take it off of the bill. The chocolate cake with peanut butter icing was disgusting. It was actually crunchy. The owner argued with me over taking it off the bill and was very rude. I would not recommend it.
