Just moved to the area and although reviews online seemed only average, we decided to try this place our first night in town because it looked nice and they have outdoor seating. We went in with an open mind, and Im really glad we did. The Hot Stuff Flatbread Pizza was seriously fantastic, and my wifes Bacon Jalapeño Mac was really good too. Our server was new, but did a nice job and was very friendly. My only complaint regarding the meal would be that it did take a while for our food to come out after we ordered. They have a good selection of beer, especially IPAs. However, they only post their beer selection inside, so we had to leave our patio table to view the list on the wall.They said they do this because they like to change up their beer selection regularly, which is great, but it would be REALLY nice to at least print up paper lists so that I can also get some information (IBUs, ABV, and a description) about the beers, instead of just a list with Brewery, Beer Type and Name. Even worse, the list is low on the wall and right behind a table, requiring you to stand uncomfortably close to anyone seated there. All in all, we were really happy with our first visit, and we will definitely be back. With a few minor tweaks this place could be truly 5-star.

Ive been to the gallon a few times and had their mediocre at best food. But as a community member , that lives 3 blocks away the biggest thing that sticks out in my mind is the overly loud cover bands of poor quality that continue playing past midnight and the continual overflow of over served inebriated drunks that they send driving , swerving and walking our neighborhoods As a bartender of 14 years I have no idea how they can still be in business. The constant flow of stumbling drunks yelling and screaming on the surrounding streets shows an absolute disregard of liquor laws or care of the people that have to deal with them pissing in our yards.

Worst service I have ever received. We chose this place as it had a great outside seating area. We found an open table and sat down and after about 10 min the waitress finally came over without greeting or welcoming us told us that next time we need to go inside first and let them know that we are there. She then turned around and went inside, returned 5 minutes later to take our order but realized she never gave us our menus. The service continued to get worse from there and caused us to leave. I would never return to this place or recomend it to anyone.

If you want Yuppy food at Yuppy prices go n there. The owner comes in Drunk all the time and drinks like a fish , and is very annoying. Its bars like this that are turning Silverton into a Yuppy community. The service sucks , the drinks are WAY over priced. The lead bartender is a stuck up Mr Know it all, and his wife is a cold , unfriendly person. GO TO Macs , or the TownHouse for real Silverton flair. The bathrooms are GROSS and management does nothing to maintaine, or even clean. The entire place is filthy.

Many of the patrons may be just "passing through," but this genuinely feels like a neighborhood bar, the kind of place where you become quick friends with your neighbor on the next stool. Featuring an extensive draft list on an impressive digital screen, daily drink specials (small batch whiskey day!), a cool interior and fun outdoor patio, the Gallon House is a great place to stop after hiking the Trail of 10 Falls and grab an ice cold beer or two.

AVOID. Service was poor, staff seemed very unorganized and unprepared. Food was below mediocre. No effort, inspiration or flavor. Ahi tuna salad was reheated tuna steak hastily tossed on a bed of greens and unripe avocado and tomato with no dressing. "Potato bites" were reheated sysco bagged junk. I regret choosing to spend $30 here.

Love the Gallon House! Hate the reviews about poor service after the person seated themselves! People break the rules and try to blame the business for not serving them? Stay in Portland or Eugene, Silverton is not made for stuck up people who look down on anyone that serves them.

Good beer selection, good food, nice staff. We had the mushroom bleu burger and they were very accommodating about the desired cooked wellness, yummy. Fries were skin on and tasty! They seem to have affinity for bacon, not the biggest bacon fan but all was good.

This is a lovely place to sit on the patio with a beverage on a lazy afternoon. The food is good, I had a chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese with a side of crispy fries. They even had gluten free bread. Service was quick even when they were busy.

Food arrived cold, after waiting for half an hour. Others served ahead of us, staff not real frindly & used "Im sorry" a lot, and did not attempt to rectify the problem in any way. No doubt we will not go there anytime soon, if at all.

Service was good and beer was great. Food could be a little better, but the hamburger buns for "garlic bread" is unacceptable. Come on guys. Would you be happy if you ordered garlic bread and got a toasted half a hamburger bun?

Super fun place in summer to sit outside with a group and laugh loud with each other it in the winter to sit quietly with your better half and watch traffic go by. Food is decent, beer selection is super.

Chris (Boston) is a cool bartender, nice guy. We ate a late dinner sitting at the bar. Good food and a large variety of beer on draft. Ask Chris to pick for you if you want to try a new beer.
