Coming from Canada, working at a well known casual fine dining restaurant herw I am familiar with good service, good staff and good food. Coming to this place with already low expectations, and thinking racism and serving customers is NO longer a problem anymore, clearly this hole in the wall has proven me wrong. Sandys restaurant has proven me that racism and stereotypes still exist in Sandys "family" restaurant, Oregon. If this is what your restaurant represents, and what you intended on then good for you, youve really done well for yourself. From now on, I will never set foot near this place and make sure everyone on Vancouver island is aware of this. I have a ton of friends and family that travel to Oregon to be around good people and good food and this will clearly never be offered here. Just for the record, wherther youre black white native or Mexican you deserve the same service. And as far as Im concerned, at least we offer this in your friendly neighbourhood country, Canada ! Thanks for the eye opener Sandys, Ill make sure to stay away next Time.

I am from out of state and have ate at Sandys at least 5 times but the last time I had the club sandwich the first piece was grate the second peace had a piece had a piece of cut off tooth pick in is about 1/2 inch long not a big deal pull it out and finish the rest wright wrong. Before I eat any more I though I better look in the other pieces and sure enough there was another piece of tooth pick in that pice also. So I though maybe they just broke off from the tooth picks that where holding the sandwich together so I pulled out all the tooth picks on my plate and every one of them still had the points on them. So 2 pieces of cut off tooth picks in one sandwich. I am so glad that my son was not eating that sandwich or anyone elses kids. This is the first review I ever wrote. I just cant believe what happened at this place. Beware of eating there and if you do for the love of GOD please check your kids food befor they dig in. Good luck. I will never return.

The restaurant appears to be fairly antique. The inside is has a very nice antique Western wood-built appearance with a T.V. and very high ceiling. Walls have photos of Mount Hood hanging on them. The interior is very dimly lit; it is almost too dark, in fact. Two of my friends and I ordered from a dinner menu. Though, there was only two other groups present inside the restaurant while we were there, it took a fairly long time for our orders to arrive. The service was decent, but all three of us unanimously agreed that the food was not that great. Definitely edible, but we all have had significantly better meals at restaurants such as the Village Inn and Black Bear Diner...

This restaurant location has seen several different owners over the years. Recently, a friend and I stopped in for breakfast and coffee. What a treat! They have remodeled with a touch of down-home casual and yet each booth is private. One entire wall is covered with an American flag. Beautiful. Leather chairs in front of a fireplace and not-too-loud music serves as a background. As for the food...EXCELLENT! I had a simple meal of home fries, toast and eggs. Delicious and cooked perfectly. I shall return this week with another friend. Thank you to the new owner(s).

Fantastic breakfast. We stayed at Mt. Hood and ate here in the morning. My eldest son and I are Vegan and its always daunting trying to figure something out. Got the vegetarian omelette without the cheese and eggs. Picture Ill try to uplaod. Our watress, Kylee was accommodating and the service was impeccable. Fun oregon country cabin look on the inside. My husband and younger son got pancakes. Thumbs up all the way if you are looking for down home American diner breakfast.

Theyve changed their fries since the last time, several months, theyre really tasty, good and crispy. Came during lunch, food was decent. Service was fine. Its a simple menu, the food is like what I would cook at home. Yes, I would recommend for someone who wasnt in a hurry. Not where I would stop for a 30 minute lunch.

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast was seated right away, ask if we would like something to drink we both said coffee sat there for ten minutes no coffee, waited another ten minutes no service so we left none of the servers notice, so I dont think we Will be going there anymore.

Breakfast is always good and service is very attentive and nice. Menu could use some more interesting items to make it stand out as THE place to go, but all in all a good dining experience for the money. Good family atmosphere with room for larger groups in the back.

Our service was fast and our waitress was wonderful. Food portions were more than anyone in our family could handle and had plenty to take home. Feeling like you got more than what you payed for is always nice.

The food here is great. Hey have gotten my order wrong on several occasions but always fix it for me. Parking is not the best, very few spots in the lot and on street parking is usually full.
