wow i normally dont post reviews but after the experience we just had I absolutely felt it was necessary in the hopes others will think twice before spending money at this business. My hubby took me to dinner and we were given salsa and chips i found a hair in my salsa so i politely asked for a new bowl which i got.We received our order and half way through i pulled a hair out of my bite of food tangled in the rice. neither of us could eat another bite. We told the staff and showed her the hair which was shorter and darker than my hair not to mention stuck inside the food. My husband asked for both of or meals to be compt as he could not finish his either we offered to cover our drinks and go. The manager who is bald came out to explain that his cooks are bald and his staff have tied up hair and it could not belong to them insinuating it was mine. The response was less than helpful. The food was subpar anyway so no great loss, but seriously eat there at your own risk. Not only was it sad it happened but way more disturbing that they tried to make it my fault.

My family and I chose to eat here on our way home from a trip. The overall experience was disappointing. The place was empty, but the server seemed rushed to get us out and seemed annoyed when we mentioned possibly changing tables from inside to outside because it was so hot in the restaurant; there was not central air in the main restaurant and it was extremely hot. She even told us to decide before she set our table up because she didnt want to have to take it all down and set it back up. Its not that hard to move forks wrapped up in a napkin. My son ordered a grilled cheese sandwich that had a piece torn off, there was a blueish gray color around that spot, which I assume was mold. We needed to split our check up, which was messed up and one of our parties ended up paying more than they should have. When the server took over splitting the bill she spoke negatively about the other staff members.

RATS !, RATS !, RATS !. So I never have been crazy about the food here but its the only Mexican joint in town, so when my wife wants to go I say ok and I go. The food is bland and the joint is dirty. We went last week and as we were getting done and ready for the bill. A huge rat ran across the top of their little bar area, ( shingled roof), Inside not out. I dont mean mouse I mean a rat as big as a large cat. I brought it to the attention of our waitress, she didnt seem surprised, so I looked up the manager and he said he was aware but they would be moving in a couple months, but thats been the rumor for a year or so. Never offered any discounts or explanations other then that. If it had been up to me we wouldnt have paid the bill. Made me want to upchuck. What a disgusting place, never again.

We were the first customers to walk through the door. About 10 min later another group of 3 walk in. The person who told us we could sit anywhere was also our server. He took the group of 3s order before he took ours. They also got their food first which I thought was weird. When the food came it wasnt horrible but it so wasnt good. I had 2 shredded beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. The tacos were so greasy that it ran down my face and arm with each bite. My plate was hot but the cheese inside my enchilada wasnt melted. My husband had chorizo and eggs and he said he didnt think it was cooked all the way. Good luck to them but we wont be back.

Owner seems to make a habit of repremanding employees infront of guests. Extremely unprofessionsal. As far as the food, just the salsa alone seems to be watered down with an added generic hotsauce. The staff seem friendly and seating was quick other than the run in with the owner. The place itself is fairly run down and could use a deep clean, it has a faint mold smell, which is common here when you do not upkeep a building. The artwork is actually interesting, and a few entres are passable. I wouldnt suggest this place to a friend, but if you are desperately in need of a filling meal its not the worst place i have ever been.

It was a late November evening in 2014 and my buddy and I had just flown in from Hawaii. We got picked up by our homeboy and he took us to this place. It wasnt particularly busy as it was probably near closing time. It was a little dark but still welcoming. The aroma of mexican-style food tantalized my senses and created a rumble in my stomach. I was all the hungry people. Our server was polite and helpful as expected. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! I could not tell how clean the store was because of the aforementioned darkness but the table and booth that we were in seemed clean. Id definitely return.

Worst service Ive ever seen. We stood in the lobby for a good 5 minutes (with waiters buzzing around) until someone told us to simply find a seat and somebody would be with us. About 10 minutes past and a waiter finally brought us out our menus. Another 5 to 10 minutes later a different waiter came by and took our drink orders. The food was average at best. The prices were above what Id expect for the quality. The service is a killing blow; the only way Ill return to this restaurant is if they close and re open with new management. Simply the worst service Ive ever experienced.

Exceptionally good mole. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Portland area. Comparable but less expensive than La Calaca Comelona on SE Belmont. This is Authentic mexican food, gringo. Their moles are as flavorful as anything that youll find in Portland. We keep going back and one of us always orders Pollo con Mole - delicious! The Cadillac Margaritas are great, too! If you are expecting Tex-Mex or American Mexican, this probably isnt for you, there is a Taco Time across the street for you..

Waitresses are kind, but forget getting any type to service when hey mess your order up. I ask specifically for a carne Asada burrito some of the regular stuff you get inside, instead I get a burrito filled with meat, only meat...I might as well order steak. Then when presenting the staff with this, no one knows if I can get my right plate, then I was told no Im stuck with it. Their errors on your dime. You can get out of a crappy building but you cant get away from crappy service.

Food tastes old. When we walked in and sat down we immediately got a water pitcher, which was nice but I also felt like it was just so she didnt have to return, which she didnt. The place is dirty and gross. Ive gotten sick every time Ive eaten there, which has only been a couple times. Save yourself, and your stomach, and go up the road to Two Brothers. Youll get way better food at a much more affordable price there.
