Not too impressive in the coffee department. The shots are poorly pulled (very bitter), they foam the milk in about 20 seconds; Ive gotten my drink before Ive even had the chance to pay for it! I once overheard the baristas talking about how their friend who works at Starbucks has to throw out shots that have been sitting out for 60 seconds. They were incredulous that this was a policy, and had no idea that shots go completely bitter when they sit out for too long. I havent tried the drip coffee, but I do not recognize the roasters. On the GOOD side: the baristas are friendly, they dont mind when I bring children and craft projects in there (I mentor some kids and take them there). They only charge 50c for tea! They have for-here mugs (but not for cold drinks, unfortunately). Their pastries look pretty decent, but I havent tried them.

Had my very first mocha here as a junior high kid in 1993. One of the first boutique/local coffee joints in the greater suburbs of Portland and still one of the best. Theyre part of Five Stars too which is nice for keeping track of drinks and rewards. Mt. Mocha will always be a fav Java joint.

Great downtown Sandy location with good/great parking. Outdoor area is nice outside of rush hour. Indoor area is too small to set up shop and read a while or study and is too small period at busy times of day. Very friendly staff and a good sized menu for a mom and pop place.

Baristas have gotten to know my friend and me who go there at least weekly, which is always pleasant. Always really helpful and kind, especially if I dont know what I want. Great place, great drinks, great staff :)

The coffee at Mountain Moka is terrible! Im not sure why any established coffee shop near Portland Oregon would serve low quality coffee when there are so many great tasting coffee roasters that could supply them.

Coffee is good and the prices arent bad. They have a really great "happy hour" that I havent seen many coffee shops do. The location could be better.

Great place to stop for coffee on the way to Mount Hood. Nice staff. My only minor gripe is that the eggs are microwaved instead of fried.
