Not exactly what I expected. As an East Coaster I grew up in an area where creamed chip beef (or SOS as the military calls it) is almost considered its own food group. The creamed chip beef here just didnt meet my expectations. I suppose to the uninitiated its a tasty treat, but good SOS doesnt require a fancy twist to be good eats. All that is required is good basic ingredients starting with good dried beef and a simple cream based sauce. Anything else is overkill and frankly not needed if you start out with good ingredients. The beef in theirs is more akin to pastami than dried beef. In addition, I thought the price was a bit high for what I got. For what I paid they could have afforded to "import" real deal ingredients. Will I go back and try other items? Sure. But as far as the creamed chip beef is concerned, Ill spend the extra bucks to order my own dried beef online and make my own SOS.

Excellent food and service. Had Biscuits and Gravy, excellent and unique. Miller High Life on tap is always a big plus for me. Ordered a bloody mary and it was one of the worst Ive ever had, thin and bland. All I could taste is the Vodka. This place should have the best bloody mary in town, it would really suit it well. Heres a hint, a good bloody mary is thick, flavorful, and spicy. Your current recipe has none of these characteristics. Fix this please!

How this place gets high marks is whats wrong with the restaurant scene here in pdx. this is the second time Ive eaten here and the burger is pinker than the tomato. this is how ecoli is spread. food handling 101! the cook must have gotten sick and missed this class. spare me the we know where and how our meat is processed and handled(you do not). when the customer says well done thats what you do. maybe in a year we will try again...or not.

Make I agree you have time to sit, they take a while. The food is okay, nothing notable. The "bartender" was unable to make an Irish coffee because she didnt know what it was and the Bloody Mary was one of these worst Ive had. Honestly there are other places in the neighborhood with faster service, better food, larger portion and cheaper prices

Girl with star neck tattoos and short brown hair was the most rude, incompetent, awful waitress. She talked only to her co workers ignoring her tables and allowing others to run her food and drinks. She ignored us so long we had to ask another busy waitress just for a coffee refill. She ruins the entire experience what a shame

Almost every weekend I run Forest Park with friends. The Industrial Cafe is our go to spot. Friendly service and great breakfast menu. I order their Rosemary Red Potatoes every time. The industrial design theme of the restaurant makes it visually interesting because of their creative use of materials.

Wish I had come here more often when I lived in the neighborhood. They are open super early and its usually pretty quiet, even on the weekends. The decor is great, the food is good, and they serve grits which is always a plus for me ;)

Quite a unique theme, but I enjoyed it. The food was great and was served fairly quickly by a very friendly and attentive waitress. Granted, we were the only ones there for lunch, but the overall service was quite good.

Waitress was cute..but other than that food was weak. Fries crunchy.. Burger is decent.. Little overpriced for the taste.. Need a better experience for the cash. I wont be back..all-around experience was kinda blah...

Visited for fish and chips, large portion, easily shared by two, comes with a side salad. The staff was really friendly to humans and K9s alike... great atmosphere and we really like the updated industrial location

OUTSTANDING food and service. Sooooo happy we found this place while Meriwhethers was doing their usual empty tables everywhere but no seat for you routine. Industrial Cafe & Saloon is a fantastic restaurant.

Excellent. Great service. Stayed open for me even though I arrived at closing time. I had the pulled pork sandwich, it was very tasty! The coconut cream pie was fab! Would definitely go back again.

Placed an order to go. Asked to replace country potatoes with hash brown - no we dont offer that. Wasnt offered something to drink while waiting. The food was pretty good but over priced.

Such a good tuna melt here! They are dog friendly on the patio and have a great menu selection. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but the staff check in with you frequently.
