We placed an order at 6:22 p.m. on the companys website. At that time, we received an email from the company confirming they received our order, a summary of our order, a receipt for our purchase, and to let us know it was on its way. 2 hours later we called, wondering where our order was, and they said we hadnt ordered anything for a month or two. I said, "Well then where did I get this email from you tonight at 6:22 with a full summary of my order and assurance it was on its way?" He said, "Well we didnt get that." "What do you mean, we didnt get that? I have the email from you right here in front of me!" He explained that they had been having some problems with their website and some orders werent coming through. So we ended up getting our meal - over 3 hours after we ordered it - with not even an apology for being late. They were nice enough to take off $8.00 from our order. But that was hardly sufficient. I would have rather they gave me a sincere apology rather than the smug comments I got. I felt the phone rep was extremely rude, didnt seem to care at all that we had been waiting hours to eat, acted like it wasnt their fault, and offered little to help me other than he could try to get an order placed and sent over to me as soon as possible. It was an absolutely horrible experience. To make matters worse, we were FORCED to pay a 15% tip! Is it really a tip when its compulsory???? Poor business practices, horrible delivery time, and very poor customer service. It seems that this company could care less about pleasing their customers. Definitely not representative of the Better Business Bureau.

There are two things that absolutely bothered me by Delivery Dish. 1. I set up for an interview thinking it would be a great place to make some extra cash after my regular 9-5 job. The people who scheduled my interview were professional and impressed with my resume. They scheduled a meeting with Chris in Portland and was told to dress up. I dressed to impress and was very upset with the way I was treated at the office. I was not greeted at all and nobody took the time to shake my hand and welcome me. Everybody there was doing their own thing and it took Chris 20 minutes to meet with me when I was scheduled for 1pm. You would think they would of been impressed and happy to have someone educated join their team. All the little things were done wrong. No greeting, no handshake, no specific details were given to me. 2. You have to be really struggling to only get 3 dollars per delivery. No hourly wage, no money for gas, and you get charged to borrow their supplies. Are you kidding? I am not impressed and laughed on my way out because online delivery dish looked very professional and I did not want to settle for a pizza delivery job or a server job. I needed extra cash and delivery dish is not the place to go. I will not take away from the delivery services because I have not used delivery dish but I am very upset with how bad the office looked and I was not welcomed. I felt as if I was the one conducting the interview.

Incredibly irate and disappointed with the service I received tonight. My boyfriend placed an order for us, the knock came at the door. I answered and the lady handed me two containers and I noticed there were still containers in her bag. She didnt ask me to sign anything (I always am asked to sign) and then she quickly snatches up her bag and takes off. I walk inside and instantly open the containers only to find that we are missing half of our order. She stole half of our order!!! We frequently use DD and have always had great service. After tonights experience, we def. will think twice about using DD. My boyfriend even emailed and the person responded with only one word "handling." Extremely disappointed and pissed at the level of customer service from both people and to top it off, no apology or offer for reimbursement, nothing! I will be writing reviews on any review site I can. Update: they credited back one item. As a person who works in customer service and being a manager myself, to rectify the situation, I would have credited back the whole order in good faith. We had to order food from somewhere else and wait another hour in addition to the hour we Had already waited for an order that was half complete and stolen.

Delivered Dish staff are friendly and helpful. They are willing to read the entire menu to me when my internet is down or I am not at home. 99% of the time they are on time or early. The restaurant selection is great but could use some more Seafood Restaurants being added. I am sad they no longer work with Stanfords. Everyone who writes reviews seems to be upset about the high delivery fees so let me enlighten you. The drivers that work for deliverd dish get via tips and a portion of the delivery fee. So make sure you tip your driver for a job well done. They dont get gas money or compensation for mileage. So that is a part of the reason why the delivery fees are the set price that they are. To compensate the driver. Anyways when you are at home sick or dont want to leave the house this is the most reliable service in portland to call. They do corporate catering, hotel delivery, or to your front door at your home or apartement. I generally order sushi when I call, but I really like Clays Smokehouse, Madisons, Fire On The Mountain, and Ate-Oh-Ate. YUM! So give them a try......or I guess cook.

I have used delivery dish about 100 times over the last 3 or 4 years. The food almost always shows up in a timely manner and is always what I ordered. I have ordered from some great restaurants. I love Ilpatio and DeNicolas for Italian, love Sungari for Chinese, Yuki for Sushi, and Equinox for dinner parties or special occasions. The restaurants I did not like, I have found they fall off the list over time. I did have some issues when I moved with them delivering to my old house even though I changed my address in the system (this happened 2 times). They did not offer my anything to make up for my food being late, which I thought they should have considering the situation. But because they are the only delivery service in Portland and because they have been on time about 95% of the time I will continue to use them. I suggest if you move or have food delivered to multiple locations you follow up on the phone. I also suggest if your food service is very time sensitive that you order as far ahead of time and possible. I also wish they delivered booze, but they tell me it is illegal (supid law).

We have been using Delivered Dish for years now (usually 2 to 3 times a month) and have only had food that was very late once. A few times they have forgotten a drink, but have gone to get one and bring it back after our food was delivered. If there is ever an issue with a food item, credit card payment, driver running a bit behind, we have always been called. The 15% tip is calculated on the food total, not the total including the delivery fee. (I just checked a couple past orders to be sure). I would give them a full 5 stars IF I was allowed to use all the tip choices. I typically do 15%, but a 10 and 12% option is offered. However, if you try to select it, the checkout total reverts to the 15% level.
