MONUMENTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I took my daughter out the weekend before her birthday for a father daughter date to celebrate her 21st birthday. As we approached the door we were accosted by two extremely intoxicated men who were loitering outside the front door. When we entered the restaurant @6:10 pm, we were left standing there ignored, not sure if we were to seat ourselves or to wait for a hostess. After we were finally seated at our table, it took another 15 min. before our waitress came to take our order (which seemed a bit long since less than 1/2 of the restaurant was occupied). Thinking we had plenty of time to have our meal and make a local play we were going to that started at 7:30... I began to get concerned when we had been sitting for over 55 min. and still no food! At that point I went to the front counter to ask the waitress "how much longer until our food arrived? (since we were ignored up to that point!) and was told another 10-15 min which would have given us only 5 min to eat our meal! At that point I told the waitress We had been waiting for over an 70 min. At that point I told the waitress we were out of time and had to go to make a play. (She didnt charge me for the Thai iced tea we ordered) but wanted to know if we wanted our meal "take out"? "why would I pay for take out only to leave it in the trunk of my car for 3 hours? ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Needles to say my daughters 21st birthday experience at this restaurant was a disaster! This was the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant...EVER Needless to say I will never go back there!

I have been eating here for seven years. Not only has the food always been extremely delicious and such a variety of tastes, but I have never once seen anything remotely gross or unsanitary. Ive never heard a single rumor and I grew up in this small town. My favorite dishes are the salad rolls, the beef salad, the red curry, yummy Tom Kah soup and their Pad Thai of course! There arent many good restaurants in Newberg but this place and La Panaderia Gonzales are some of my two all-time restaurants of the Portland metropolitan area. The others being the Tin Shed (their McCobb salad OMG!), The Blossoming Lotus (their raw chocolate balls and any of their specials/despite the few snarky employees) and The Pied Cow on Belmont which has a great salami and cheese plate as well as a deliciously warming Toddy.

As a Thai food lover, I was on several occasions disappointed by Golden Leaf Thai. If you are in Newberg and you are super craving thai food, it will work(only thai in newberg!). However, If you are local and go back to this place often, you may over time become less than satisfied with their service and food. The flavors arent bad, but I prefer for there to be more than 5 pieces of chicken in a dish of chicken pad thai.

Food and flavors are excellent. This is family run and may be understaffed. However they work so hard to be as efficient as possible. This is a great take out place. Food is finished fast. I love venturing out typically ordering Pad Thai or Pad Kee Mao and trying the different dishes they offer. I havent been disappointed yet. Right now Im loving the flavors of Pla Rad Prik.

Golden leaf is a really delicious thai place. There are tons of rumors that its gross and dirty, but its not at all. I love their red curry and the cute lady behind the counter is always sweet and remembers me. I recommend this place, its affordable and the portions are more than enough. VERY GFU FRIENDLY!

This place has DELICIOUS food! They are a little under-staffed so, during busy times, service can be slow. However, despite that, their food is so good I still give them 5 stars! Our go-to dishes are: pad thai, pra ram, pad seyu (dont know how to spell it), yellow curry, and the popia sod salad rolls.

The food at the Golden Leaf is extremely delicious. The server is very friendly. The servers here tend to let you sit where you wish. Their curries remind me a lot of my experiences when I lived in the S.F. Bay Area. I had the red curry with seafood. Extremely good for a date or family outing.

The food here is really good. This thai place doesnt have much competition in Newberg, but they still seem to bring their A game. They have a bar inside as well as video Keno, but I always go for the nice views out the front of the building, and the pad thai.

This is a great option in a town that is over run with mexican and Chinese food restaurants. I always order or and have never had to wait now than 15 for my order to be ready.

Excellent food and its very reasonably priced. My husband and I can easily share the cashew nut chicken dish for $10. Its delicious! Best Thai food I have found in this area.

My chicken pad Thai tasted like fish... This was our second time dining here and im afraid we wont be going back. The food was just heavy and didnt taste fresh :(
